The method comprises the steps of: selecting at least a first and second mobile device of the plurality of mobile devices; obtaining a first factor by calculating an inverse correlation between a first and a second vector; obtaining a second factor, the second factor being descriptive of an average receive power ratio between the first and second mobile devices; calculating the quality value of the virtual MIMO by combining the first factor and the second factor using an arithmetic operation, the quality value being descriptive of the virtual MIMO system's quality between the first and second mobile devices.
