    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for precoder matrix quantization for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) (120a) includes receiving a CSI report configuration for frequency domain compressed precoder matrix feedback. The CSI report configuration configures the UE (120a) to report, for a plurality of selected beams at a plurality of time domain taps, a frequency domain compression basis vector and a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression (805). For each of the beams, the UE (120a) groups the time domain taps into at least first and second groups. The groups each can have zero, one, or more than one time domain taps (810). The UE (120a) quantizes the corresponding linear combination coefficients and/or frequency domain compression basis vectors based on the grouping (815).

A user equipment (UE) may perform channel state information measurements on reference signal transmissions from a base station. The UE may identify a set of cross layer coefficients associated with a set of spatial layers based on the channel state information measurements. The UE may additionally identify a set of precoding coefficients associated with a spatial layer from the set of spatial layers. In some implementations, the set of precoding coefficients may be based on the set of cross layer coefficients. In some examples, the UE may transmit the set of cross layer coefficients and the set of precoding coefficients to the base station.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may report basis subset selection for a set of beams, where the basis vectors are used for frequency domain compression. To reduce reporting overhead, the UE may transmit two reports indicating the basis vectors. The first report may include first information for the basis vectors and is of a known payload size to both the UE and a base station, while the second report may include second information for the basis vectors and may have a payload size dependent on the first information. The base station may decode the first report and may use the decoded first information to decode the second report. Based on the first and second information, the base station may determine the reported set of basis vectors to use for frequency domain compression and may determine non-zero precoding coefficients.
