    Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing Peak Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in signal transmissions are described. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes determining, for an input sequence, an output sequence corresponding to an output of a convolutional modulation between a plurality of values and an intermediate sequence. The intermediate sequence is generated by inserting a set of coefficients between coefficients of the input sequence. Each non-zero coefficient of the set of coefficients is inserted between a first adjacent coefficient and a second adjacent coefficient. Each non-zero coefficient has a power that is between a first power of the first adjacent coefficient and a second power of the second adjacent coefficient and a phase value between a first phase value of the first adjacent coefficient and a second phase value of the second adjacent coefficient. The method also includes generating a waveform using the output sequence.

The method includes: when a first transmission frequency band sends data by adopting an extended sequence modulation data sending rule, data to be transmitted on spaced sub-carriers of the first transmission frequency band is respectively multiplied by each extended element in an extended sequence with a length of 2K to obtain extended data with a number of 2K, where there is another extended element with a phase difference of π relative to each extended element in the extended sequence; and the extended data with the number of 2K is sent on 2K spaced sub-carriers of the first transmission frequency band, where K is a positive integer.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and devices for configuring guard subcarriers in transmission subbands to reduce interband interference in a wireless communication network. In one implementation, the method may include determining that a first subcarrier spacing for a first radio frequency transmission band is less than a second subcarrier spacing for a second radio frequency transmission band, and the first radio frequency transmission band is close to the second radio frequency transmission band in frequency spectrum. The method may further include configuring a subcarrier of the first radio frequency transmission band as a guard subcarrier carrying dummy data when the first radio frequency transmission band and the second radio frequency transmission band are simultaneously used to transmit data loads.

    Abstract: A data modulation and device and demodulation device for the multicarrier system are provided. The data modulation method includes: performing different cyclic shifting on data sequences of L continuous symbols respectively, L≥2; and modulating the cyclically shifted data sequences by use of a waveform function, an independent variable range of the waveform function being greater than or equal to a symbol interval of the L modulated symbols. The technical solution solves the technical problems in which the related art is not compatible with a LTE system or effectively suppressing out-of-band leakage or flexibly adjusting a symbol interval to adapt to different channel environments and exhibits poor demodulation performance, thus achieving effective suppression of the out-of-band leakage, having higher compatibility with the LTE system and improving demodulation performance and flexibility of adjusting a symbol interval by simple cyclic shifting.
