    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for forwarding a Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) packet, and a storage medium. The method may include: receiving a first BIER packet generated by a third node, wherein the first BIER packet comprises a first BIER packet header and a BIER segment list, the first BIER packet header comprises first node information, and the BIER segment list comprises second node information; changing the first node information in the first BIER packet header into the second node information to obtain a second BIER packet header; and forwarding a second BIER packet corresponding to the second BIER packet header to a second node corresponding to the second node information.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for processing a message header, a storage medium, and an electronic apparatus. The method comprises: processing fields in an IPv6 message header according to fields in a Bit Indexed Explicit Replication (BIER) message header by using at least one of the following manners: the BIER message header is taken as a type of a Routing extension header of the IPv6 message header, and a Segments Left field in the IPv6 message header is processed according to a predefined manner; the BIER message header is taken as a type of other extension headers of the IPv6 message header, wherein the types of the other extension headers include a new option as a Hop-by-Hop extension header; a Bit-Forwarding Router Prefix (BFR-Prefix) of the BIER message header is filled in a Source Address (SA) field of the IPv6 message header; and a Bit Index Forwarding Table Index (BIFT-ID) field in the BIER message header is embedded into a target field of the IPv6 message header. The method solves the problems in the related art such as optimization cannot be effectively achieved in a process of combined encapsulation of a BIER message and an IPv6 message.
