    摘要: A suction screen member is provided that bridges the inlet port and entrance port between a compressor housing and a suction duct in a scroll compressor. The suction screen member also serves to screen fluid entering the scroll compressor to prevent particulates from entering the scroll compressor. The suction screen member may be formed from only two components, including a sheet metal body that has a folded over section to provide a mounting segment that mounts into the inlet fitting for the outer housing and a tubular extension. Crimping of the folded over segment can secure the screen thereto. Other embodiments may have employ welding for screen attachment.

Additionally, the suction duct includes drain ports that act to drain oil received in the suction duct into the oil sump. This can be used for filling and charging the oil sump with oil initially by using the common refrigerant inlet port through the housing and also acts to collect coalesced oil from oil mist generated by operation of the scroll compressor in a refrigeration system and likewise drain the lubricant oil into the lubricant sump.

An extended thrust region is provided in surrounding relation to an inner axial tip sealing region to provide for carrying thrust loads in the event that the scroll compressor bodies are forced axially together. Part of the thrust region may carry a tip seal, while another part may be free of a tip seal. This provides for at least a nominal reverse operation capability.

    摘要: A check valve is provided which may be integrated into a scroll compressor that prevents static cohesion sticking forces between a valve disc member and a retainer member of the check valve housing. Such static cohesion sticking forces may be particularly generated due to oil mist generation in such scroll compressors which create a thin lubricant film between the valve disc and the stop plate of the check valve housing, creating suction type static cohesion when dislodgment of the valve disc away from the stop plate is attempted. A relief region is created between the retainer and the valve disc creating a minimal contact surface area that greatly reduces and/or eliminates such static cohesion sticking forces. For example, the valve disc may be dished to have a concave surface that faces the retainer element provided by the stop plate.
