    Abstract: Embodiments of play systems having multiple curved structural members are disclosed. Play systems illustratively include a first quarter of an ellipse, a second quarter of an ellipse, a third quarter of an ellipse, and a fourth quarter of an ellipse. Each ellipse quarter has first and second ends. The first, the second, the third, and the fourth ellipse quarters are oriented approximately vertically relative to a surface such that the first ends of the ellipse quarters contact the surface and the second ends of the ellipse quarters are above the surface. The first ends of the ellipse quarters are optionally spaced further apart from each other than the second ends of the ellipse quarters.

    Abstract: Embodiments of a playground device that includes a net lattice are disclosed. The net lattice is attached either directly or indirectly to the playground device. First and second segments of a net rope are part of the net lattice and include a woven outer net rope layer that surrounds a woven inner net rope layer. A net clamp is also part of the net lattice. The first and second segments of the net rope run substantially parallel to one another through the net clamp. The net clamp secures the first segment of net rope to the second segment of net rope at the point at which they run substantially parallel to one another.

    Abstract: Embodiments of an interactive play system are provided. In one such embodiment, an interactive play system includes a satellite having a sensor. The satellite is integrated within a component included within a playground environment. A feedback mechanism is also provided within the playground environment. A computing device supports a selective change between a first programming state in which the feedback mechanism will respond to an actuation of the sensor based on a computer instruction provided by a system administrator and a second programming state in which the feedback mechanism will respond to an actuation of the sensor based on a computer instruction provided by someone other than a system administrator.

    Abstract: An extension mechanism for a zip track system within a playground environment is provided. The extension system comprises a crossover unit configured to attach to a zip track. The crossover unit comprises a crossover arch, configured to couple to the zip track. The crossover unit also comprises a support pole configured to couple to an end of the crossover arch, such that the support pole does not obstruct a path of movement under the zip track. The extension mechanism also comprises a connection mechanism configured to connect the crossover unit to the zip track system such that the crossover unit distributes the weight of the track through the crossover arch and the crossover support poles.
