The lift rod assembly includes a spring attached at the upper end to the head and at the lower end attached to a spring guide. A lift rod is mounted adjustably on the spring guide, and the upper end of the lift rod has attached a magnet and the lower end of the lift rod a displacement member. The upper end of the lift rod is received in the passageway of the head. Attached to the head adjacent to the passageway is a dial assembly adjustably mounted in relation to the passageway of the head.

    摘要: A pre-installation liquid level gauge assembly is provided which comprises a fitting with a threaded outer surface and a thread protector friction fit over the threaded outer surface. The thread protector comprises a sleeve portion and a shoulder portion extending radially inwardly to protect the end of the fitting and prevent the sleeve portion from sliding up the fitting to expose some of the lower threads. The shoulder portion defines a hole that is larger than the outer diameter of the passage in the fitting so that the thread protector does not interfere with the insertion of an extension piece into the passage in the fitting. The thread protector includes a tab and a scored line extending from the tab to the edge of the hole defined in the shoulder portion such that the tab can be pulled to totally split the thread protector to allow ready removal of the thread protector from the fitting.

    摘要: A circular temperature gauge includes tubing which encloses a temperature sensor and a housing which encloses a needle connected to the sensor and a dial connected to the housing. The housing is secured with respect to the tubing such that the housing can be rotated to calibrate the indicator needle with respect to the dial. A slip bezel is mounted on the periphery of the circular housing. The force required to rotate the bezel with respect to the housing is less than the force required to rotate the housing with respect to the tubing. This prevents a worker who is in the process of installing the gauge from inadvertently rotating the housing with respect to the tubing and substantially miscalibrating the gauge.

    摘要: A transducer for determining the level of liquid within a container includes a mounting head adapted for connection to the container and a sensor assembly adapted to extend into the container from the mounting head. The sensor assembly includes a housing having an upper portion connected to the mounting head and a lower portion that extends from the upper portion. The lower portion has a hollow interior that is isolated from liquid within the container. A plurality of sensor elements are located within the hollow interior. A float rod is pivotally connected to the housing and a float is connected to a distal end of the float rod to thereby cause pivoting movement of the float rod in response to a change in liquid level within the container. An actuator is located outside of the housing and is operatively associated with the float rod for pivotal movement therewith. The actuator is operative to change an electrical state of at least one of the sensor elements to thereby indicate a level condition of the liquid within the container.

    摘要: A capacitive sensor assembly for measuring a level of fluent material in a container includes an electronics section for receiving and processing signals and an antenna probe operably associated with the electronics section. The antenna probe has an electrical conductor and an insulating layer that covers at least a portion of the electrical conductor. The electrical conductor is connected to the electronics section. An enlarged measurement portion is in turn connected to the electrical conductor for detecting the presence or absence of the fluent material. The enlarged measurement portion has a surface area that is larger than a surface area of the electrical conductor over an equivalent height or length to function as a first plate of the capacitive sensor assembly, with the fluent material to be measured functioning as a second capacitive plate. In this manner, a change in detected capacitance of the antenna probe is reflective of a level condition of the fluent material.
