Abstract: A deep brain stimulation transparent electrode array and a neural signal detection method using the same are proposed. The deep brain stimulation transparent electrode array includes a biocompatible dielectric substrate, a plurality of electrode sites arranged on one side of the substrate, a plurality of electrically conductive contacts arranged on the other side of the substrate, and an interconnector extended from each electrode site so as to be connected to each contact. The deep brain stimulation transparent electrode array is capable of conducting deep brain electrical stimulation and brain wave detection while minimizing image distortion in magnetic resonance imaging, and accuracy of the deep brain electrical stimulation and the brain wave detection may be increased by enhancing ability to carry electric current and minimizing the image distortion in the magnetic resonance imaging.

Abstract: Provided is an accelerator provided in an electronic device and configured to perform simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), the accelerator including a factor graph database, a memory, and a back-end processor, wherein the back-end processor is configured to receive a first piece of data corresponding to map points and camera positions from the factor graph database, convert the received first piece of data into a matrix for the map points and a matrix for the camera positions, store, in the memory, results obtained by performing an optimization calculation on the matrix for the map points and a matrix for at least one camera position, among the camera positions, corresponding to the map points, and obtain a second piece of data optimized with respect to the first piece of data based on the results stored in the memory.

Abstract: Provided herein is a control method for volume fraction of multistructural isotropic fuel particles in a fully ceramic microencapsulated nuclear fuel including: preparing a mixture of silicon carbide, sintering additives, and organic binders, producing a coating body by coating multistructural isotropic fuel particles by using the prepared mixture, forming the coating body, and performing pressureless sintering on the formed coating body, wherein volume fraction of multistructural isotropic nuclear fuel particles may be controlled by controlling the coating layer thickness on multistructural isotropic nuclear fuel particles, wherein the coating layer was configured with a mixture of silicon carbide, sintering additives, and organic binders. As described above, stability and tolerance against nuclear fuel related accidents may be significantly enhanced, and advantageous effects of enabling a pressureless sintering procedure to be performed while maximizing volume fraction of the multistructural isotropic fuel particles may be expected.

The method performed by an electronic device, comprises receiving a distance (r) to a satellite that receives polarized photon from a sender and transmits the polarized photon to a receiver, receiving an angular momentum per unit mass of the satellite (lobs), and calculating a rotation amount of the polarized photon, which is induced by a warp of space due to gravity by using the distance to the satellite and the angular momentum per unit mass of the satellite (lobs). The rotation 2Θ of the polarized photon is calculated by the following equation, sin Θ ( r ) ≅ - l obs rr s 1 - r s r , wherein ‘rs’ is the Schwarzschild radius of the Earth.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a fully ceramic capsulated nuclear fuel material containing three-layer-structured isotropic nuclear fuel particles coated with a ceramic having a composition which has a higher shrinkage than a matrix in order to prevent cracking of ceramic nuclear fuel, wherein the three-layer-structured nuclear fuel particles before coating is included in the range of between 5 and 40 fractions by volume based on after sintering. More specifically, the present invention provides a composition for preparing a fully ceramic capsulated nuclear fuel containing three-layer-structured isotropic particles coated with the substance which includes, as a main ingredient, a silicon carbine derived from a precursor of the silicon carbide wherein a condition of ΔLc>ΔLm at normal pressure sintering is created, where the sintering shrinkage of the coating layer of the three-layer-structured isotropic nuclear fuel particles is ΔLc and the sintering shrinkage of the silicon carbide matrix is ΔLm; material produced therefrom; and a method for manufacturing the material. The residual porosity of the fully ceramic capsulated nuclear fuel material is 4% or less.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the crystallization of protein using nanoparticles as nucleation agents. Precisely, the inventors performed the crystallization of such proteins as Bacillus subtilis YesR, chicken egg white lysozyme, bovine serum albumin, Alicyclobacillus acidocaldarius acetyl-CoA carboxylase, and Listeria monocytogenes hypothetical protein which have his-tag at amino terminal by using gold nanoparticles in diverse sizes and shapes in the presence of Ni2+ ions. As a result, it was confirmed that the chance of successful crystallization was higher with the gold nanoparticles than without the gold nanoparticles and the various crystallization conditions were successfully screened. Therefore, the method for inducing nucleation of the invention can be advantageously used for the disclosure of protein structure by increasing the chance of successful crystallization of protein.
