摘要:
A boot attachment system is provided for a split board, wherein the boot attachment provides two alternative attachment configurations. The first configuration provides a ‘ride mode’ in which the rider's boots are attached across the two halves of the split board allowing the joined board halves to be used as a complete snowboard for riding downhill. The second configuration provides a ‘ski mode’ in which the rider's boots are attached one on each half of the split board. This system allows the halves of the board to be used in a similar manner to traditional skis. This system is particularly useful when travelling uphill or on terrain that is insufficiently steep for the board configuration to be useable.
摘要:
An apparatus for facilitation selective rotation of a sportboard binding relative to a sportboard interposed between the binding and the sportboard. An electro-magnetically actuated locking mechanism controls the rotation of a retaining ring assembly relative to a bottom capture plate and a top plate assembly. The bottom capture plate is attached to the sportboard. The retaining ring assembly is attached to the binding by teeth on an outer perimeter thereof. One or more pairs of diametrically opposed ferromagnetic inserts placed in the retaining ring assembly define specific angular positions at which the binding may be locked. An external power source (e.g., a battery) is connected to the electro-magnetically actuated locking mechanism via a switch adapted to be operated by a rider of the sportboard such that the rider can selectively control the locking and unlocking of the mechanism to allow rotation of the binding as desired.

A snowboard binding includes a base plate and a heel support attached directly or indirectly to this base plate so that it can pivot. Intermediate elements mount the heel support and can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the snowboard binding. Thus, the effective length of the snowboard binding can be adapted to the respective boot. Also, through different positioning of the intermediate elements, the heel support can be arranged diagonally relative to the longitudinal axis of the snowboard binding.

A fastening device for a sliding board includes a base that defines a housing in which a shoe is designed to be immobilized by a maintaining device. The maintaining device includes a vertical locking pivot cooperating with an anchor element secured to the board on the one hand, and with rotational blocking elements on the other hand. The base includes a lower plate and an upper plate to support the shoe and sliding relative to one another, the pivot ensuring sliding locking of the two plates.

In some embodiments, a binding apparatus is provided for use with a splitboard to convert the splitboard between a ride mode and a tour mode. Apparatus may include a binding interface that is configured to engage with multiple interfaces of a binding system. For example, a binding interface may be configured to engage with, or selectively attach to, two or more of a ride mode interface, a tour mode interface, a heel lock down interface, a heel riser interface, a riser and heel lock down interface, a crampon interface, and a snow shoe interface. A heel riser interface may comprise at least one height position configured to raise a user's heel while climbing an incline, such as a mountain or hill. The heel riser interface may also be configured to securely connect a heel of a binding interface to a splitboard.

A snowboard binding comprises two assemblies that are capable of being mated or docked with each other and locked together while the snowboard is in use. One of the assemblies may be affixed to the deck of the snowboard. In an embodiment of the invention, the other assembly may be secured, e.g., to the user's boot, and in an embodiment of the invention, the features of the other assembly that support docking and locking of the assemblies may be incorporated into a boot.Either or both assemblies may comprise one or more permanent magnets configured to assist docking by attracting the assemblies to one another in a manner that encourages them to dock in a proper configuration. In embodiments of the invention, locking the docked assemblies together may be achieved without use of the hands.

The invention relates to a snowboard binding with a sole-plate which is to be fastened on the surface of a snowboard and to which, firstly, an instep element is fastened or coupled, which instep element can be adjusted between a clamping position and a release position and by means of which the upper side of a shoe, which can be accommodated in the snowboard binding can be partially embraced, and to which, secondly, a leg support is pivotably coupled, which leg support can be pivoted between a rear entry position and a front travelling position with control means provided by means of which a pivoting movement of the leg support into the entry position is coupled at least in some sections to an adjustment movement of the instep element from the clamping position into the release position.

A novel snowboard binding provides a high level of adjustability, convenience, and usability for snowboarders. One aspect of the invention discloses a hook-and-go strapping system which reduces or eliminates cumbersome effort to strap or release snowboard boots to a conventional snowboard binding. Another aspect of the invention discloses a locking lever and a spring-loaded locking plate, which uniquely enable an “on-the-fly” stance positioning of a snowboard binding. The on-the-fly stance positioning as disclosed in some embodiments of the invention involves an easy rotational or angular adjustment of a snowboard binding from a snowboard even after a snowboard boot is strapped into the snowboard binding. Yet another aspect of the invention discloses a unique leg support apparatus comprising a forward lean bar, a tool-free forward lean adjuster with one or more fitting grooves, and a tilt-adjustable articulating high back for fine adjustability and comfort.
