    摘要: The invention relates to a finned tube (1), a process for its manufacture and a device for performing the process. The process involves at least one endless strip (4), forming the fins, being wrapped around a rotating tube body (2) in roughly helical fashion and the narrow side of the strip (4) facing the tube body (2) being joined to the tube surface by means of a welding device (7). In order to be able to work with little financial outlay and in an energy-saving manner, and to create a product where the entire width of the base of the fin is optimally joined to the tube surface and the joint area displays good thermal conduction, the working end of the welding device (7) is inserted into the free wedge-shaped space between the tube surface (3) and the strip (4) where, with the aid of the welding device (7) a welding bead (11) is applied, running exactly in the area of the joint between the strip (4) and the tube surface (3), to the tube surface (3) using a filler, before the narrow edge of the strip (4) to be joined makes contact. The narrow edge of the strip (4) to be joined is subsequently pressed into the welding bead (11) while it is still liquid.

    摘要: The invention concerns a process for manufacturing ribbed tubes, wherein a stainless steel tube is provided with ribs by helicoidally winding a copper strip around it, and a ribbed tube thus manufactured. In joining the tube and rib, the unmelted copper strip is set on the tube surface edgewise into a melted area produced by a laser beam exclusively on the tube surface, thereby bonding the strip onto the tube by the solidification of the melted tube material. In this manner ribbed tubes can be provided, featuring an internal tube made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and a helicoidal rib made of copper for increasing the heat exchange surface of the tube, which is distinguished by high thermal conductivity.

    摘要: A process for manufacturing ribbed tubes, wherein a stainless steel tube is provided with ribs by helicoidally winding a copper strip around it. Initially, cuts are formed on both sides of an elongate band and thereafter the band is passed through a series of engaging former wheels. A bottom part is formed into the band and top portions of the band are folded onto the bottom part. Needle-shaped ribs are formed to project from the top portions and are placed at an angle in relation to one another. The band with needle-shaped ribs is then mounted on the tube.

    摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for the manufacture of a continuous heat exchanger tube including helically winding a spine fin material on the outer wall of a base tube member. A preselected portion of the spine fin material is secured against movement relative to the base tube member. The heat exchanger is then severed in the secured portion so that a section of the secured portion is arranged at each end of the severed heat exchanger. The secured severed end sections are effective in maintaining the intermediate portion of the spine fin material from unwinding and, as a result, in heat transfer relationship with the base tube member.

    摘要: A fluted strip of heat conducting material is spirally wound edgewise about a length of pipe and, in combination, define a heat exchanger for receiving solar energy. The lateral edges of the flutes forming the outer edge of the strip define an undulating line superimposed upon a helix. The lateral edges of the flutes forming the inner edge of the strip define an undulating line superimposed upon a sinusoidal curve which, in turn, is superimposed upon a helix. Thereby, cyclically repetitive ones of the flutes become oriented normal to the rays of the sun to effect maximum heat transfer as the angle of incidence to the heat exchanger varies. A method for producing the heat exchanger is also described.

    摘要: An I-type segmented finned tube is disclosed having a fin composed of an elongated flat strip of metal, the upper portion of which forms the major fin portion having a plurality of segmented fins formed thereon and extending radially outward therefrom. The lower portion of the flat strip forms the base which serves as a contact area for a welding electrode. The method of bonding the segmented fin to the tube is accomplished by an ultra-high frequency welding process which melts the root portion of the fin and the registering surface of the tube just prior to their mutual engagement. A force is then applied to the tips of the fins at the point of mutual engagement to forge the molten root portion of the fin to the molten surface of the tube to create a fused bond therebetween.
