摘要: The above invention pertains to the mining industry and can be applied for exploratory or industrial mining of oil, gas or gas hydrate from underwater sources and their transporting to or below the water surface. The purpose of the invention is to transport underwater mined oil, gas or gas hydrate to or below the water surface without using pipeline systems. The proposed transporting method utilizes submergable containers which gain positive buoyancy while being filled with the extracted materials. The proposed transporting method allows delivering mined materials continuously to the point of unloading, which can be located at or below the water surface. The proposed invention has an advantage of transporting simultaneously different types of extracted materials such as liquid, gaseous or solid to a water surface.

摘要: A liquid containment system for an ocean-going vessel. The liquid containment system includes a tank having converging upper walls. The converging upper walls of the tank contain a substantial portion of the liquid therebetween and reduce the free surface area associated with the liquid. The upper converging walls of the tank extend above the horizontal deck of the vessel, but still allow sufficient deck space for supporting various required equipment. In one embodiment, the liquid containment system is a prismatic membrane tank designed to receive and hold liquefied natural gas (LNG).

摘要: System for mooring ships, in particular for operations in connection with oil and gas activity, whereby a ship is equipped with a mooring device at its bow portion. There is included an anchor device located at the seabed, as well as at least one anchoring line adapted to connect the anchor device to the mooring device on the ship. The anchor device is an essentially permanent anchor device, preferably in the form of a suction anchor, gravitation anchor or pile anchor. The anchor device is provided with a swivel device for the anchoring line. A buoyant body is attached to a middle portion of the anchoring line.

摘要: A tug vessel and a plurality of transport modules connected together in a chain, each including a honeycomb core formed of an array of hexagonal cells (preferably formed of reinforced concrete), are disclosed. The modules and, if desired, the tug vessel are adapted to transport liquids, gasses, semi-solids (e.g. grain) and the like in the cells. Universal joint mechanisms connect the tug vessel and the modules together in a manner which allows the tug vessel and modules to move essentially independently with respect to one another. The tug vessel includes a pair of oppositely rotating propellers, located amidships at the rear of sponsons. In addition, gimbled jet exhaust nozzels are used to control the attitude of the tug vessel. Emptying and filling of the hexagonal cells is accomplished via a conduit array which uses a central cell to act as communication chamber for surrounding cells. Cells located along the lateral sides of the overall array are used to house ballast water.

摘要: In the transportation of liquid cargo either by submarine or surface vessels, compartmentalized storage cells defining a structural part of the vessel are each made up of an outer tank or chamber enclosing an inner expansible bladder in which the liquid cargo is stored and isolated from the rest of the chamber. Inlets at the lower end of the chamber permit entry of water into the lower portion of the chamber, and upper inlets in the upper portion of the chamber permit introduction and removal of air or other gas into and from each chamber respectively either to regulate the buoyancy of the vessel, to permit removal of undesirable gases, or to fill the space occupied by the bladder during unloading of the cargo. The buoyancy of the cargo chambers or of separate buoyancy chambers within different sections of the vessel can be regulated independently or simultaneously to selectively vary the trim or ballast of the vessel.
