    Abstract: A waste management system, primarily intended to be for waste floating in water, though it can also be used on land. A shredding device will reduce the size of the particles of waste. Ocean water is removed by a drying device. The dried waste material is cryogenically frozen using liquid nitrogen or other suitable means. The frozen waste material is then pulverized and ground into a powder. The powder may then be sprayed into a gas-filled chamber and heated. Temperature, pressure and humidity are maintained within the chamber for more than one minute. Microwave or other radiation and catalysts may be used to enhance the process of extraction. The processed material is then removed from the chamber. Carbon and water may be recycled. The carbon may be used as fuel by the ship. Water may also be used by the ship or returned to the ocean in a non-toxic condition.

    Abstract: A comminuting device for solids-conducting liquids includes a housing with an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and a housing interior extending from the inlet opening to the outlet opening, a first comminuting shaft extending through the housing interior and arranged to rotate about a first comminuting axis. A second comminuting shaft extends through the housing interior and is arranged to rotate about a second comminuting axis. A screening device has a screening wall comprising a plurality of slots arranged in the housing interior adjacent to the first comminuting shaft. A clearing device has a plurality of clearing elements which can be moved relative to the screening wall along a movement path and which extend through the plurality of slots starting from a clearing shaft arranged on one side of the filter wall to at least one portion of the movement path.

    Abstract: A preparation method for a spherical graphite for lithium batteries firstly adopts a combination of primary pulverization, secondary pulverization and shaping to produce spherical graphite with D50 of 13-25 μm, and then adopts a combination of ultrafine primary pulverization, ultrafine secondary pulverization and shaping to produce spherical graphite of small particle size with D50 of 3-12 μm from tailings produced during the production of spherical graphite with D50 of 13-25 μm for the first time. The method increases the utilization rate of graphite raw materials by 25-35%, and can prepare spherical graphite with D50 of 13-25 μm and spherical graphite with D50 of 3-12 μm at the same time. An alternative method adopts a combination of primary pulverization, secondary pulverization, ultrafine primary pulverization, ultrafine secondary pulverization and shaping to produce spherical graphite of small particle size with D50 of 13-25 μm directly from raw materials for the first time.

    Abstract: A system and method reclaims select components containing rare earth metals of electronic media electronic storage devices such as hard disk drives, solid state drives and hybrid hard drives and destroys the data containing components thereof. The system employs first devices, such as milling tools, to loosen various components of the storage device. The various loosened components include the components containing the rare earth metals and the data containing portions. Second devices, such as pick and place mechanisms, are provided for removing components from the storage device. A holding chassis receives the storage device, and moves the storage device for engagement with the first and the second devices. A section is provided for destroying the data containing portion of the electronic media storage device.

    Abstract: A scalper apparatus configured to divide a flow of material between filtered and unfiltered streams. The scalper apparatus may include a housing with an upper opening, a primary lower opening for outputting the filtered stream, and a secondary lower opening for outputting the unfiltered stream. The scalper apparatus may include a grate extending across the interior of the housing such that any material leaving the interior through the primary lower opening must pass through the grate while any material unable to pass through the grate is caused to move through the secondary lower opening.     Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for producing feedstock in piece form from metal, in particular aluminium and/or aluminium alloys, for a metal-casting installation, in particular aluminium-casting installation, in which scrap parts of metal, in particular of aluminium and/or aluminium alloys, are sorted on the basis of their alloying constituents and/or alloy contents and subsequently, on the basis of an alloy to be produced in the feedstock, the scrap parts are mixed into a composition having a homogeneous distribution of the alloy and fed to a press, in which the scrap parts of the composition are subjected to a pressure that compresses the scrap parts while generating a temperature, wherein, as a result of the application of pressure, the scrap parts are heated up to the transition temperature between solid and liquid of at least some of the scrap parts and/or the alloys and/or alloying constituents thereof before the feedstock is discharged in a specific geometrical form.
