摘要： An anti-pinch chainsaw bar assembly for enabling the extraction of chainsaw bars when bound or pinched during cutting includes rolling bearing members integrated into outer surfaces of the bar. The bearings are arranged in groups of at least two bearings in rolling contact with one another. At least one bearing in each group extends outwardly from each outer surface of the bar. The assembly preferably also includes wedge structures mounted on the distal end of the bar for spreading out the sides of a cut.

摘要： A chain saw guide bar having two opposed nose plates at the free end thereof. Each nose plate has an outwardly formed impression which faces the outwardly formed impression in the opposed nose plate, to allow a thicker idler roller assembly to be mounted between the outwardly formed impressions. 摘要： A guide bar has a main portion and a nose portion. The main portion has a convex outer end and the nose portion a mating concave inner end. A tongue extends from the nose portion for insertion in a receiving slot in the main portion and rivets fasten the tongue to the main portion. A relief is formed at the junctions of the edges of the nose portion and main portion, i.e., at the points where the saw chain passes from the main portion to the nose portion and then back to the main portion of the guide bar.

A saw chain is driven in circulation in the guide groove about the guide bar. The guide bar has an opening for supply of oil into the guide groove, wherein the opening extends from an exterior side of the guide bar, wherein the exterior side extends in a longitudinal direction of the guide bar, into the guide groove and opens in the first sidewall into the guide groove. An insert is secured in the opening and reduces a free flow cross-sectional area of the opening.

摘要： A plate-joinery system includes a chain-saw plate joiner where the cutting mechanism includes a cutting-chain driven about a saw-bar. The cutting mechanism of the chain-saw plate joiner may be advanced on rails to one of a set of predetermined depths. The increased recess depth allowed by the chain-saw and the resultant increase in both glueable surface area and mechanical engagement permit high-strength right-angle joints to be made with the speed of conventional plate-joinery. Plate-joints of more conventional proportion may also be made. The plate joinery system also includes specialty plate configurations and compatible fasteners that permit many joints to be rapidly assembled without resort to either manual glue application or external clamps. A series of high-precision, low-friction cutting devices suitable for general introduction is also described.
