This may be thought of as blade guards with hold-down capability. The blade guards also include splitters and anti-kickback assemblies. The anti-kickback assemblies include anti-kickback pawls that can be in an operable configuration or a disabled configuration.

The cutter blade (4) has an annular body (7), and peripheral teeth (8) arranged at the annular body (7). The teeth (8) have a tooth face (9) and a clearance face (10) which intersect at a cutting edge (11). The teeth (8) are alternately arranged such that the tooth face (9) of one tooth (8a) is oriented in one tangential direction and the tooth face (9) of a neighbouring tooth (8b) is oriented in an opposite tangential direction. Thus a more versatile cutter blade is provided.

The device can also be attached subsequently to existing vertical board saws and ensures an absolutely clean cut even on plastic-coated chipboards and when using sawblades of inferior quality.

摘要： A guide plate for a hand power saw has a top side with a low coefficient of friction for functioning with a guide member on the power saw, whereas the other or lower side of the plate has a slip-proof facing material for resting on a workpiece to be cut with the saw. Furthermore near one of its long edges the guide plate has a guide ridge with guide faces thereon running in the direction of sawing. A main part of the guide plate is placed on the one side of this ridge while the part on the other side of it is in the form of a ledge that is in a single plane with the lower face of the guide plate on the other side of the ridge. The lower side of the guide ridge is in this plane or is higher up than this plane. On the side of the main part of the guide plate furthest from the ridge there is a guide lip running in the direction of sawing that rests on the workpiece to be cut. This guide lip is made of non-splitting, elastic material running out from the side of the guide plate edge furthest from the guide ridge and the outermost edge of the lip is designed to be used as a cut marker.

摘要： A sawmill apparatus includes first and second carriages for supporting first and second logging dogs therebeneath, with the second carriage being movable upon the first whereby to engage the ends of a log between the dogs. The carriages support the dogs at the end of steel baldes which are moved in a vertical direction by a combination of air cylinders and ball screws to provide the desired positioning of the log in a vertical direction. As the carriages urge the log between the blades of a bandsaw, rubber tired wheels are raised against the underside of the log for supporting cants or boards sawn therefrom and preventing splitting at the finally sawn edge.
