    摘要： A tool to facilitate the mounting and centering of dual wheels on an axle hub and the method for using the tool. The tool is a pin structure having coaxial female threads at one end, allowing the pin to be attached to the threads of the lug bolt, serving as an outward extension of the lug bolt. One or more such tools are attached to lug bolts on the axle hub, providing a pin or pins upon which the two wheels may be placed sequentially. In this configuration, the two wheels counteract and hold each other in properly centered orientation while they are fastened to the axle hub with lug nuts. After the dual wheels are fastened in place, the pin or pins are removed and the lug bolts to which they were attached are also used to fasten the dual wheels to the axle hub.

    摘要： A dual wheel mounting arrangement for material handling implements is disclosed which permits the second, outer wheel of the arrangement to be easily and quickly releasably affixed to the first, inner wheel of the arrangement. The connecting arrangement includes a plurality of spokes affixed to a rim portion of the second wheel assembly, and further includes a generally elongated removable wheel fastener which is adapted to coact with the spokes for securing the second wheel assembly to the first. An adapter bracket is adapted to be mounted in association with the first wheel assembly by its lug fasteners, with the adapter bracket being adapted to releasably receive the wheel fastener. In one embodiment of the invention, a plurality of openings are defined by the hub portion of the first wheel assembly, with the openings respectively receiving projecting portions of the spokes affixed to the rim of the second wheel assembly, thus operatively interconnecting the wheel assemblies in driving relation. In another embodiment, a modified adapter bracket is provided for mounting in association with the first wheel assembly, with the adapter bracket defining at least one opening which is adapted to receive a projecting poriton of one of the spokes affixed to the rim of the second wheel assembly.

    摘要： An adapter kit for changing a single wheel mounting on a vehicle to a dual wheel mounting and comprising a sleeve adapted to be positioned against the outer surface of the single wheel in substantial axial alignment with the wheel axle and extending outwardly from the wheel, a flanged plate member secured to the outer end of the sleeve and having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apertures provided therein, a plurality of longitudinally extending tube members rigidly secured to the wall of the sleeve with a tube member being disposed in alignment with each of the apertures of the flanged plate for receiving a threaded stem therethrough, nut members interposed between each tube and the usual lugs bolts of the single wheel for securing a threaded stem to each lug bolt, an abuttment provided on the opposite faces of the flanged disc whereby one abuttment engages the inner periphery of the sleeve and the opposite abuttment engages the inner periphery of the sleeve and the opposite abuttment receives the central of a second wheel thereagainst, and lug nuts removably secured to the outer ends of the threaded stems outboard of the second wheel for securing the wheel to the flanged plate and axle of the vehicle.
