摘要： A lubricating device for an escalator or moving walkway provides a lubricant container connected by way of lines with lubrication points which are arranged at a base plate which forms lateral borders for the escalator/moving walkway step belt or plate belt. Sliding pads are provided at the escalator steps of the step belt or at the plates of the plate belt which project slightly beyond the side edges of the steps or plates and, when sliding past the lubrication points, receive lubricant and subsequently transfer it to the base plate.

摘要： An escalator system includes a protective flange assembly along edges of the steps having step flanges. In one example, a first step flange member is adjacent each edge of each step and moves with the step along the escalator path. The first panel member remains stationary relative to the step along the entire path. A second panel member is associated with a corresponding link in the drive chain and remains stationary relative to the link along the entire path of the escalator. The first panel members and second panel members cooperate to provide a continuous barrier along each edge of the steps along the escalator path.

摘要： An apparatus for exchanging roller bearings of escalator and moving walkway chainwheel sub-assemblies includes the provision of auxiliary supports to which the chainwheel sub-assembly can be fixed. With removal of axle carriers the central axle becomes accessible, and can be displaced laterally to disengage from one of the roller bearings, which is subsequently removed and replaced. The central axle is then displaced in the opposite direction to allow access to an opposite roller bearing. Auxiliary centering for the axle in an axle cylinder is provided to prevent shifting of the axle within the cylinder when the axle carriers are removed. The steps of fixing the chainwheel sub-assembly to the auxiliary supports and subsequently shifting the axle to free the bearings constitute a method for bearing removal which does not require disassembly of the escalator/walkway conveying run and allows the escalator or walkway to be walked on during the exchange process.

摘要： A safety device is described for a passenger conveyor system, more particularly an escalator or travelator, that includes a main drive shaft (2) mounting return elements (3) for the transport chains (4) of the steps or pallets, a further shaft containing return elements (3) for the handrails (7) and at least one gear (8, 9, 10) connecting the main drive shaft (2) to the shaft. The drive power of at least one drive unit arranged external to the return elements (3) is translatable via a transport device (12) to the main drive shaft (2). The safety device contains at least one flyweight element (18) provided at the gearing end, at least one brake device (22) as well as at least one control device (14) actuating the brake device (22), and at least one movement/rpm sensor (21) provided in the region of the flyweight element (18) and connected to the control (14), device wherein load-independent braking of the main drive shaft (2) is achievable by the brake device (22) on the basis of signals received from the sensor (21).
