    摘要: In an escalator having a plurality of steps connected to an endless chain and moved along an endless path, a rotation locus of step forward wheels at both end portions is shifted toward end portions of the escalator relative to a rotation locus of the chain. A forward wheel guide track for guiding forward wheels of the steps is arranged, at both end portions of the escalator, so that a straight distance between forward wheels of two adjacent steps, which distance tends to be shortened by the chain following an arc at both end portions, is extended. By such constructions, interference between adjacent steps hardly occurs even if the rotation diameter of the steps at each end portion of the escalator is made small. Therefore, the rotation diameter of the steps can be made smaller than a conventional one and the escalator thickness (depth) can be made small.

Each linkage assembly has a plurality of rollers for supporting the linkage assembly which travel in a respective one of the guide tracks. Each guide track has two spaced apart turnaround portions with each turnaround portion defining a travel path for each roller having a linear entry section, a linear exit section, and a pulse-free section intermediate the two sections.

    摘要: A continuous conveying apparatus of an unified going/returning way type in which tread faces can be turned around with driving elements (chains or the like) on both sides of the tread faces maintained. A movable member having tread faces is turned helicoidally by 180° around an axis which extends in a plane parallel to the reference plane of the tread faces and is inclined at an angle of 45° with respect to the traveling direction. Then, the movable member travels horizontally and turned helicoidally by 180° around another axis which is inclined oppositely to the aforementioned axis. Thus, the movable member travels in the direction opposite to the going direction. In the case where the movable member is a train of rigid tread steps, it is preferable that each tread step is divided in left and right halves, the left and right halves are connected by an elastic pin so that they can take a twisted positional relationship, the left and right halves are each driven by a twistable roller chain and supported at three points by a driving roller and two adjusting rollers, and those rollers are each guided on a cylindrical guide surface. An escalator with inclined tread faces can be formed by providing low projections of trapezoid in cross section on a toothed in-part belt. There is also a structure in which each tread step stands up by being turned by 90° in a sloping section to turned around.

    摘要: A method and arrangement are provided for guiding a drive chain in an area of a reversing chain wheel of a pedestrian conveyor system. The drive chain contains plate link elements, connecting elements connecting the plate link elements in leading and trailing coupling areas of the respective plate link elements, and guide rolls respectively located in the spaces between the coupling areas. The arrangement is such that the drive chain is guided into the chain wheel so that, as seen in the direction of movement, the connecting element in a leading coupling area of one plate link element is guided into an associated reception area of the chain wheel. The guiding roll of that plate link element is then brought into a corresponding cap-shaped indentation of the reversing wheel. The connecting element of the trailing coupling area of same plate link element is guided into an associated reception area of the reversing wheel after the guiding roll of that plate link element is supported by the cap-shaped indentation in an elastically cushioned manner. The guiding roll of a subsequent plate link element, as seen in the direction of movement, is supported on a guiding profile until the connecting element in the trailing coupling area of the preceding plate link element is introduced into the associated reception area.

    摘要: An improved flexible drive assembly for escalators and moving walks is provided. The improved drive assembly includes a substantially horizontally disposed motor. The drive assembly of the present invention further includes a substantially horizontally disposed single-stage worm gear input shaft arranged perpendicularly with a main step band sprocket shaft. The worm gear input shaft, in turn, drives a horizontal output shaft disposed in parallel fashion to the main step band sprocket shaft. One or more drive chains each link corresponding output shaft gears with corresponding main drive sprocket gears disposed on the main step band sprocket shaft. Step chain sprockets of larger diameter than the main drive sprockets are disposed adjacent to and inwardly of a corresponding main drive sprocket. These step band sprockets engage the step band and drive it about its endless path.

This is accomplished in that the electric motor (1), the planetary gear (2) and a drive step (9, 7, 8) linked with the power take-off of the planetary gear (2) for the direct drive of at least the drive gear (10) of the output shaft (12) for the step or pallet belt, are combined in one single assembly unit (3) that can be secured on the distributor gear.
