    摘要: The invention relates to a process for preparing an impact-modified plastic based on grafted crosslinked rubber particles, and also to an impact-modified plastic obtainable by the process. To prepare the impact-modified plastic, (a) particles of a crosslinked rubber are produced from a first monomer mixture which has a content of at least 50% by weight, preferably at least 90% by weight, particularly preferably at least 98% by weight, of diene compounds. The particles of the crosslinked rubber are (b) grafted with a second monomer or monomer mixture, with formation of a graft shell. Particles of the grafted crosslinked rubber are (c) added to a third monomer mixture, and the monomers of the third monomer mixture (d) are polymerized, with formation of a matrix. The process of the invention is simple to carry out and gives impact-modified plastics with very good mechanical properties.

    摘要: Several compositions for use as structural adhesives are disclosed. The compositions include a monomer component and a catalyst component. In one aspect, the monomer component includes a first elastomeric material of a block copolymer of styrene and isoprene, a second elastomeric material of a block copolymer of styrene and butadiene, and a cross-linked rubber of a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. In a second aspect, the monomer component includes a first elastomeric material of a block copolymer of styrene and butadiene, and a cross-linked rubber of a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. In another aspect, isophthalic acid is utilized as a polymerizable acid monomer in combination with a phosphate ester. In another aspect, the monomer component includes a cohesive failure mode promoter of rosin esters or of talc.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a rubber composition which can give a vulcanized rubber with low rolling resistance and excellent wet skid resistance and wear resistance, which is particularly useful for automobile tire treads and the like. The rubber composition of the invention comprises (1) a crosslinked rubber particle containing, as repeating units, 40 to 79.99% by weight of a monomer unit formed by a conjugated diene such as 1,3-butadiene, 20 to 50% by weight of a monomer unit formed by an aromatic vinyl monomer such as styrene and 0.01 to 10% by weight of a monomer unit formed by a monomer having at least two polymerizable unsaturated groups such as divinylbenzene, and (2) a conjugated diene/aromatic vinyl copolymeric rubber whose vinyl content of the conjugated diene monomer unit is 10 to 30% and whose 1,4-trans bond content is more than 55%, such as styrene-butadiene copolymeric rubber. The crosslinked rubber particle may also contain a repeating unit composed of a monomer having one polymerizable unsaturated group and carboxylic group, hydroxyl group and/or epoxy group.
