    摘要: A vent hood and flashing assembly for use on a metal roof. A vent hood overlies and is joined to flashing. A cover and a screen overlie an upper end portion of the flashing to exclude rain, snow and pests. The flashing includes a resilient, flexible, water-repellant, flexible flange that extends outward from, and is attached to, a lower end portion of the flashing and a flexible, ring seal that overlies an upper surface of the flange. The assembly can be placed over a projection through an opening in a metal roof such that the cover and screen overlie an upper end of the projection and with the flashing surrounding the projection, and the flange can be bent to sealingly conform to the roof surface and secured thereto by fasteners.

    摘要: A wind-powered rooftop ventilator that can create both positive and negative pressures to enable the exhaust and intake of air is described. The wind-powered rooftop ventilator includes a symmetrical cap that is aerodynamically shaped such that, when wind flows against the back of the symmetrical cap, a negative pressure area is created at the front opening of the symmetrical cap, thereby enabling the exhaust of air from an indoor area. When wind flows against the front opening of the symmetrical cap, the wind is captured by the symmetrical cap, thereby enabling the intake of air into an indoor area. As such, the wind-powered rooftop ventilator can create both positive and negative pressures without use of an external power source, fan, and/or worm gear.

    摘要: A venting apparatus includes a projecting member with a projection base, and a mating socket member with a socket base, and first and second ducts in fluid communication with an appliance to vent emissions along an emission flow path. The projection base engages a first one, and the socket base engages a respective other one, of the first and second ducts. The projecting and socket members have default configurations. The projecting member is movable from the default configuration towards a deflected configuration, and biased for return therefrom. The first and second ducts are movable between sliding and locked configurations. In the sliding configuration, the projecting and socket members bear against one another, with the projecting member removed from the default configuration. In the locked configuration, the projecting member is in the default configuration, and secured to the socket member, such that the second duct securely engages the first duct.

    摘要: The high velocity and high dilution exhaust system uses a centrifugal fan provided with a tapered nozzle. The nozzle compresses the airstream exiting the fan to increase back pressure and velocity. The air flow from the fan enters a stack having a venturi further increasing the velocity and decreasing the pressure. The decrease in pressure causes a suction, allowing the introduction of ambient air to mix with and dilute the output of the fan. The total discharge from the exhaust stack has a high velocity resulting in a plume height. and effective height of the exhaust before dispersion occurs.

    摘要: The venting chassis includes a radial turbine and a ceramic base and elevated ornamentation platform. The ornamentation platform has a flat top, upon which the ornamentation is mounted and a plurality of legs, which support the platform above the base. The base has a central opening through which exhaust airflow is vented from the candle interior. The base includes a plurality of feet, which support the base above the brim of the jar candle, and an annular skirt, which extends into the mouth of the jar candle. The feet create an air gap between the base and the brim through which inlet air flow can enter the jar candle. The annular skirt acts as a baffle to channel and direct inlet air flow along the sides of the jar candle. The turbine is sandwiched between the base and ornamentation platform and rotates on an axle post mounted to the base. Animated ornamentation is mounted to a turbine hub, which protrudes up through a central opening in the ornamentation plate allowing the ornamentation to rotate with the turbine above the platform.
