摘要: A variable speed wind turbine is arranged to provide additional electrical power to counteract non-periodic disturbances in an electrical grid. A controller monitors events indicating a need to increase the electrical output power from the wind turbine to the electrical grid. The controller is arranged to control the wind turbine as follows: after an indicating event has been detected, the wind turbine enters an overproduction period in which the electrical output power is increased, wherein the additional electrical output power is taken from kinetic energy stored in the rotor and without changing the operation of the wind turbine to a more efficient working point. When the rotational speed of the rotor reaches a minimum value, the wind turbine enters a recovery period to re-accelerate the rotor to the nominal rotational speed while further contributing to the stability of the electrical grid by outputting at least a predetermined minimum electrical power.

摘要: It is known that up to now there exist turbine systems which although fulfilling the same function as the induced-flow turbine system with cryogenic helium, which is the subject of the invention, present a certain number of technical problems, the high temperature required, up to thousands of degrees Celsius, to operate the thermal turbines that require a compressor and a combustion chamber. The induced flux turbine with cryogenic helium, when driven beyond a critical speed with thermal energy injection, becomes a generator in the image of an AC electric motor which becomes a generator when its rotational speed is greater than the synchronization speed. Thus, the induced flux turbine with cryogenic helium makes it possible to produce electricity and mechanical energy at low temperatures without the use of a mechanical compressor or combustion chamber and makes it possible to operate a reversible cooling system.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a method for protecting an electrical power system connected to a power grid. The electrical power system includes at least one cluster of electrical power subsystems. Each of the electrical power subsystems defines a stator power path and a converter power path for providing power to the power grid. The converter power path includes a partial power transformer. The electrical power system further includes a subsystem switch configured with each of the electrical power subsystems and a cluster transformer connecting each cluster of electrical power subsystems to the power grid. A cluster switch is configured with the cluster transformer. A controller is communicatively coupled to each of the plurality of electrical power subsystems. Thus, the controller monitors the electrical power system for faults, and if a fault is detected in the cluster, sends, via one of the subsystem switches or the power converters, a block signal to the cluster switch.

A wind turbine can include a mounting element and a plurality of turbine blades. Each turbine blade can be attached to the mounting element closer to the trailing edge than to the leading edge such that an intersection of the leading edge and the root projects upstream from the wind turbine. A wind turbine generator assembly for converting wind into electrical energy can include a wind turbine and a generator. In addition, a support structure can support the wind turbine and generator.

摘要: A one-way clutch structure includes: a pair of clutch members disposed between an output shaft and a drive shaft so as to oppose each other in an axial direction; and an engagement element interposed between these clutch members. When a rotation speed of the output shaft exceeds a rotation speed of the drive shaft, the engagement element engages with the clutch portion to connect the output shaft and the drive shaft so as to be integrally rotatable. When the rotation speed of the output shaft becomes lower than the rotation speed of the drive shaft, the engagement of the engagement elements is released to cut off connection between the output shaft and the drive shaft.
