摘要： A bowstring pulling and release device comprises a one-piece, T-shaped body including a handle portion forming the crossbar of the T-shaped body and a leg portion extending outwardly from the handle portion and terminating in an outer free end portion. A bowstring receiving notch is formed in the free end portion and a transverse slot is formed in the free end portion normal to the bowstring receiving notch. A lock is pivotally mounted in the transverse slot for releasably locking the bowstring in the notch. An enlarged bore extends longitudinally through the leg portion from the transverse slot into the handle portion, and a reduced bore extends from the enlarged bore through the handle portion. A latch pin is slidably mounted in the enlarged bore and is spring biased outwardly into the transverse slot. The latch pin has a latch detent at its end which extends outwardly into the transverse slot and a longitudinal extension at its other end which extends through the reduced bore. A release lever is pivotally mounted along side of the handle portion opposite from the leg portion and is adjustably connected to the longitudinal extension of the latch pin for retracting the latch pin from the transverse slot. The pivoted lock has an abutment engagable with the latch detent for securing the lock in latched position and retaining the bowstring until the latch pin is retracted by operation of the release lever.

摘要： A firing and trigger mechanism for increasing the accuracy of firing in which a hammer and a firing spring are held in a cocked position and in engagement with one arm of a bell crank. The other arm of the bell crank is engaged by a hammer catch that is connected with a trigger through a triggering rod resiliently urged to the hammer catch. The bell crank is resiliently urged against the hammer and the hammer catch by a spring, having one end bearing against the hammer catch. With the hammer in a cocked position, the spring urges the hammer catch against the bell crank, and as the latter are brought out of engagement, the bell crank loads the spring with an additional force that compensates for the friction forces between the bell crank and the hammer catch. These forces disappear when the bell crank and the hammer catch are disengaged. The spring allows the pressure on the trigger to be maintained substantially constant until the moment the bell crank is disengaged from the hammer catch, and after they have been disengaged.

摘要： A firing mechanism for a gun having a safety movable to a position which blocks the firing movement of the sear. The elements of the mechanism are generally coplanar and include a hammer pivotable in one direction to fire the gun and in the opposite direction for interengagement with the sear which holds the hammer in a cocked position. 摘要： A hand-held device for aid in drawing and releasing an archery bowstring. The device includes a substantially T-shaped main body of two spaced apart members that are T-shaped, the crossbar of the body being adapted for manual gripping by the user with his hand in a palm down position, and the center leg of the body projecting forwardly therefrom. The crossbar and center leg of each member are in substantially a common plane. A string receiving first notch is formed in the forward end of the central leg. A rotatable member having a second notch formed therein is swingable between a cocked position, with opposite side portions defining opposite sides of the second notch extending transversely of the first notch, and a release position swung out of the way of the notch in the main body. An elongate catch arm is pivotally connected intermediate its ends to the main body. The forward end of the catch arm is shiftable between a holding position for retaining the holding member in its cocked position and a release position allowing release of the holding member. A trigger adjacent the other end of the operator arm is manually shiftable in opposite directions for swinging the catch portion between its cocked and release positions.

摘要： An adjustable rope release for an archery bow, triggered by squeeze action of the fingers, which permits the archer to set the point in the squeeze motion at which the arrow is released. The rope release comprises a hand grip, for grasping by the index and middle fingers of the bowstring-drawing hand, from which a rope cord is looped around the bowstring and held by a hooked pin whose angle of projection relative to the grip member is adjustable by set screws. Squeezing of the middle finger of the hand causes the hand grip to pivot laterally relative to the drawn bow to a point which permits the rope loop to suddenly slip off the hooked pin, thereby releasing the bowstring and projecting the arrow toward its intended target.

摘要： An automatically selective firing mechanism for use in a doublebarrelled firearm of the type having a single trigger. The system contains a double sear, double hammer firing arrangement. The firing mechanism automatically arms the unfired sear after the first sear has dropped. This secondary arming takes place by releasing the trigger. The mechanism is free of any tendency toward accidental double firing, often referred to as ''''doubling.'''' This is accomplished without the use of separate mechanical restraining mechanisms or inertial weights. This invention is so constructed that a sudden jarring shock, such as that experienced in the dropping of the firearm, will not tend to discharge the gun. The lever is so positioned upon the top tang of the firearm to afford ease and comfort of barrel selection to both right and left-handed shooters.

A cam on the cocking piece rides on a cam surface of the bolt, so that the cocking piece cocks the firing pin when the bolt is rotated.
