摘要: A handheld or mountable air measuring device includes a sensor assembly with sensors that measure airspeed simultaneously in two directions that are perpendicular to each other. The device includes a data protocol conversion board allowing the communication between the sensor assembly and a smart device included with or associated with the device. The smart device receives the airspeed data. The smart device includes a user interface that includes a map or layout of the environment within which the device is used. The data is displayed on the smart device on the map. The data can be processed locally or transmitted to a remote location for processing. One or more dashboards are generated from the data and accessible by the smart device or another computing device.

摘要: An acoustic air data sensor for an aircraft includes an acoustic transmitter, an acoustic receiver, an acoustic signal generator, timing circuitry, speed of sound determination circuity, and communication circuitry. The acoustic transmitter is located to transmit an acoustic signal through an airflow stagnation chamber that is pneumatically connected to an exterior of the aircraft and configured to receive and stagnate airflow from the exterior of the aircraft. The acoustic receiver is positioned at a distance from the acoustic transmitter to receive the acoustic signal. The pulse generator causes the acoustic transmitter to provide the acoustic signal. The timing circuitry determines a time of flight of the acoustic signal from the acoustic transmitter to the acoustic receiver. The speed of sound determination circuity determines, based on the time of flight and the distance, a speed of sound through air in the stagnation chamber. The communication circuitry outputs the speed of sound.

摘要: A probe system includes a heater and a control circuit. The heater includes a resistive heating element routed through the probe. An operational voltage is provided to the resistive heating element to provide heating for the probe. The control circuit is configured to provide a test voltage different than the operational voltage and monitor a test current generated in the resistive heating element while providing the test voltage. The control circuit is further configured to detect micro fractures in the resistive heating element based on the test current.

The insert is formed from a second material different from the first material. The insert is encapsulated in the probe wall via the direct energy metal deposition. A method of forming an air data probe includes forming one or more thermally conductive inserts, and encapsulating the one or more inserts into a wall of an air data probe via direct energy metal deposition. The air data probe is formed from a first material and the one or more inserts are formed from a second material different from the first material.

摘要: An aircraft airflow sensor probe includes an airflow assembly or a cone assembly configured to sense a direction of local airflow outside an aircraft; a shaft configured to rotatably hold the assembly and allow rotational movement of the assembly; and a motor connected to the shaft and configured to generate a torque to damp the rotational movement of the shaft as well as the assembly. The sensor probe further includes an angle of attack processor configured to control the motor to generate the torque to damp the rotational movement of the shaft as well as the assembly and a sensor configured to sense a position of the assembly and provide the position of the assembly to the angle of attack processor. An aircraft airflow sensor process is disclosed as well.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for collecting the installation error of the wind vane are provided. The image of the blades of the wind turbine and the outer rotor of the generator is obtained. It is determined whether the wind vane is aligned with the center line of the wind turbine, according to a relationship between the center line of the wind turbine and the orienting plane of the wind vane in the image. In a case that the wind vane is not aligned with the center line of the wind turbine, the deviation angle between the wind vane and the center line of the wind turbine is calculated, and a direction of the wind vane is corrected according to the deviation angle. Therefore, installation errors of the wind vane are accurately determined and corrected, and accuracy is improved for installation of the wind vane.
