Abstract:
A lens unit comprises a lens barrel, a pair of base plates, and iris blade, and a blade driving portion. The lens barrel holds a plurality of lenses, and has a first slit that extends in the circumferential direction. A pair of base plates each has an opening portion, and are stacked to structure a blade chamber, with a portion thereof protruding from the first slit, and is positioned so that the opening portions thereof are between the lenses. The iris blade is disposed in the blade chamber. A blade driving portion is secured to a portion of the pair of base plates, and drives the iris blade to open and close the opening portions in the iris blade.

The postfilter comprises a digital finite impulse response convolutional filter.
Abstract:
In a case where a second operation is not performed even if a predetermined amount of time elapses after a first operation has been performed, a control unit drives a motor in a second direction, whereby a cam member is driven by biasing force of a biasing member and driving force of the motor until the charge of the biasing member is disengaged, the driving of the motor by the control unit is stopped, and the control unit drives the motor in the second direction based on the second operation, whereby the cam member is driven by the driving force of the motor, the engaging portion follows through a first zone, and thereafter the control unit drives the motor in the second direction, whereby the engaging member follows through the second zone.
Abstract:
When a stepping motor is used as a driving source for a shutter device, if the stepping motor loses synchronization because of variations in load during driving or the like, it becomes unable to rotate a driving ring at that time, and this disables an exposure operation. In a first zone where a driven member is driven, but a light shielding member remains in a closed state or an open state, the motor drives the driven member in open-loop driving mode. In a second zone where the driven member is driven, and thus the light shielding member moves to the closed state or the open state, the motor drives the driven member in feed-back driving mode.

Abstract:
A friction member for a brake mechanism in a camera shutter is provided. The friction member includes at least two carbon nanotube composite layers stacked on each other, each carbon nanotube composite layer includes a polymer and a carbon nanotube structure including a number of carbon nanotubes substantially oriented along a same direction. An angle defined by the carbon nanotubes oriented along the same direction in adjacent carbon nanotube composite layers ranges from greater than 0 degrees, and less than or equal to 90 degrees. The camera shutter using the friction member is also provided. The camera shutter includes a brake mechanism and a drive mechanism including a blade driving lever having a moving path. The brake mechanism includes two abovementioned friction members and a brake lever clamped between the two friction members. The brake lever is located at a termination of the moving path to brake the blade driving lever.
Abstract:
A focal plane shutter for a camera which is suitable for miniaturization and arranged to prevent wear debris from entering into a blade chamber via a base plate hole. Wall portions (1j and 1k) are formed protruding towards the blade chamber side surface from edges of the elongated holes (1b and 1c) provided in a base plate (1). Rear blade-use arms (14 and 15) have step-like bent portions (14b and 15a) formed therein so that a tip end side of the arms is positioned further toward the base plate (1) than the rotation center side. During operation, the bent portions (14b and 15b) allow a small gap to be maintained between the wall portion (1k) and the rear blade-use arms (14 and 15). The freedom in determining the layout is not restricted so that miniaturization of the device is possible and entry of debris into the blade chamber is suppressed.
Abstract:

Abstract:
When photographing using an optical finer, a hold member rotates, and a pressing member pushes a pushed portion of an iron piece member to rotate an unlocking member for a first blade and an unlocking member for a second blade to bring the iron piece member into contact with an iron core member of an electromagnet. When photographing using an electronic finder, a permanent magnet rotor of an electromagnetic device is rotated in a state where the electromagnet is not magnetized, a deterring member is made to face the operation locus of a deterred portion of the unlocking member for a second blade, and then, the hold member is rotated. Thereby, the unlocking member for a second blade is deterred by the deterring member so as to allow observation using the electronic finder without pushing the locking member for a second blade.
