Abstract:
A method for handling timers in a wireless communication system includes starting a Timer_Poll_Periodic timer for a Radio Link Control Acknowledged Mode (RLC AM) entity, performing a re-establishment procedure for the RLC AM entity, and not stopping the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer after re-establishment of the RLC AM entity.
Abstract:
A communication system, user device thereof, and a synchronization method thereof are provided. The communication system includes a user device and a wireless network. A ciphering configuration information is transmitted to a user device. The user device and wireless network re-establishing the radio link control (RLC) entity of logical link. The user device changes to the new ciphering configuration immediately following the re-establishment of RLC entity according to the received ciphering configuration information and the wireless network changes to the new ciphering configuration.
Abstract:
A method for handling a Timer_Status_Prohibit timer in a wireless communication system includes starting the Timer_Status_Prohibit timer for a Radio Link Control Acknowledged Mode (RLC AM) entity, performing a re-establishment procedure for the RLC AM entity, and stopping the Timer_Status_Prohibit timer after re-establishment of the RLC AM entity.
Abstract:
A method of controlling packet switched data transmission functionality for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises disabling the packet switched data transmission functionality, and being allowed to initiate a telephony service via a circuit switched fallback functionality or via an internet protocol multimedia subsystem signaling even when the packet switched data transmission functionality is disabled.
Abstract:
A method of handling an uplink (UL) timing of a timing advance (TA) group for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises maintaining the UL timing of the TA group, if a time alignment timer of the TA group does not expire; and stopping maintaining the UL timing of the TA group, when at least one secondary cell in the TA group is deactivated and the time alignment timer of the TA group does not expire, wherein the at least one secondary cell is configured to the mobile device by a network of the wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A method for handling security in an SRVCC handover for a mobile device in a wireless communication device is disclosed. The method includes having an active Circuit-Switched (CS) service or a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection in a CS domain when the mobile device is served by a first network, wherein the first network supports the CS domain and a Packet-Switched (PS) domain; receiving a handover command to handover from the first network to a second network, wherein the second network supports the PS domain; deriving a plurality of security keys used in the second network from a plurality of CS domain keys used in the first network; and applying the plurality of security keys for transmission and reception in the second network.
Abstract:
A mobile communications device with a wireless module and a controller module is provided. The wireless module performs wireless reception from a service network on a plurality of component carriers configured by the service network. The controller module selects a first component carrier from the plurality of component carriers providing the same multimedia broadcast and multicast services (MBMS) content and controls the wireless module to receive the MBMS content on the first component carrier.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting CountingResponse message for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises steps of receiving a CountingRequest message from a network; activating security between the mobile device and a network in the wireless communication system; and transmitting a CountingResponse message to the network.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting data in a wireless communication system including a User Equipment (UE) and a radio access network (RAN) includes the following steps. Firstly, the RAN transmits a MAC protocol data unit (PDU) to the UE. Afterwards, the UE returns an acknowledgement signal in response to the MAC PDU. When the RAN receives the acknowledgement signal, it allocates an uplink resource for the UE to transmit data.
Abstract:
A method of managing MBMS reception for a communication device in a wireless communication system includes the step of performing discontinuous reception with off durations and receiving data of a MBMS subframe when the communication device has subscribed a MBMS service and the MBMS subframe is in one of the off durations.
