Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive an indication of an association between one or more downlink reference signals and a corresponding physical cell identifier (PCI) of multiple PCIs associated with a serving cell, wherein the one or more downlink reference signals are used to identify one or more beams associated with one or more random access channel (RACH) occasions for a RACH procedure; transmit one or more first random access messages in one or more corresponding RACH occasions associated with one or more PCIs of the multiple PCIs; and receive one or more second random access messages, that include a physical download control channel portion and a physical download shared channel portion, associated with the one or more PCIs based at least in part on transmitting the one or more first random access messages. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for wireless communication. In one aspect, a multi-transmit-receive point (TRP) approach for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (ACK) feedback using counter downlink assignment indicators (DAIs) (cDAIs) and total DAIs (tDAIs) is provided. For example, some techniques and apparatuses described herein may provide a joint counting method in which cDAIs and tDAIs are implemented and tracked jointly between the TRPs of a multi-TRP group. This may be useful in the ideal backhaul scenario when the multi-TRP group is jointly scheduled, and may be more robust against errors than a separate counting method. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein may provide a separate counting method, in which cDAIs and tDAIs are implemented and tracked separately by the respective TRPs of a multi-TRP group.

Abstract: Default QCL assumptions for UEs and base stations to apply after identifying a new beam in response to beam failure detection are provided for single-DCI multi-TRP communication. In one aspect, a default QCL assumption for PDSCH after beam failure detection may be applied based on TCI states corresponding to a lowest codepoint among the TCI codepoints containing two different states. In another aspect, a default QCL assumption for PDSCH after beam failure detection may be applied based on at least one of: a lowest CORESET-ID in a latest monitored slot, a selected RS index during beam failure recovery, CORESET-0, or a first TCI state corresponding to the lowest TCI codepoint indicating two TCI states. Additionally, default QCL assumptions for UEs and base stations to apply during beam failure recovery are provided for single-DCI multi-TRP communication when the UE is not configured with a set of beam failure detection resources.
