    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support an index modulation (IM)-based acknowledgement codebook so use with sidelink feedback. In a first aspect, a first UE receives at least one sidelink transmission from a second UE with a sidelink control information (SCI) message that triggers least one IM-based feedback message codebook. The first UE may determine an IM-based feedback message sequence, determine, based on the feedback sequence, a resource for transmission of the IM-based feedback message, wherein a resource index corresponds to the determined feedback message sequence. The first UE may then transmit the IM-based feedback message codebook on the determined resource to the second UE over the sidelink. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving control information indicating an MCS index corresponding to one or more MCS parameters to be used for a communication link, determining the one or more MCS parameters corresponding to the MCS index, wherein a mapping of the MCS index to the one or more MCS parameters is dependent on a configuration of the communication link, and communicating via the communication link in accordance with the one or more MCS parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a shared radio frequency spectrum band for a transmission opportunity. The UE may perform an autonomous uplink transmission over the shared radio frequency spectrum band during a first portion of the transmission opportunity. The UE may transmit a physical layer scheduling request comprising a transmission size parameter for a second portion of the transmission opportunity. The UE may receive an uplink grant for the second portion of the transmission opportunity based at least in part on the scheduling request. The UE may perform a scheduled uplink transmission over the shared radio frequency spectrum band during the second portion of the transmission opportunity according to the uplink grant.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support sidelink transmission resource aggregation for in-coverage new radio sidelink (NR SL) operations. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining a sidelink aggregation factor identifying a number of sidelink resource slots available to a user equipment (UE) to add to each sidelink resource slot allocated in a grant of sidelink channel access from a serving base station. The UE may then receive a sidelink transmission grant identifying at least one granted sidelink resource slot, and determine an aggregated set of sidelink resource slots for each granted sidelink resource slot. The UE may then transmit sidelink communications using the aggregated set of sidelink resource slots for each granted sidelink resource slots used for the sidelink communications.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support enhanced methods for indicating random access transmission beams. For example, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a set of uplink reference signals to a base station, each uplink reference signal corresponding to a respective uplink beam. The base station may receive the uplink reference signals and may determine signal qualities for the uplink beams. The base station may identify one or more uplink beams for the UE to use in subsequent random access procedures and may transmit control signaling to the UE indicating one or more beams for random access procedure transmissions. The UE may transmit random access messages to the base station using an uplink beam selected based on the control signaling received from the base station.
