    Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) configured for communication of sounding reference signal (SRS) resources is disclosed. The UE can decode a radio resource control (RRC) signal indicating an SRS to transmit with a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), wherein the PUCCH and the SRS are quasi co located (QCLed) based on a spatial received parameter. The UE can encode an SRS for transmission using the spatial received parameter. The UE can encode uplink control information (UCI) for transmission in the PUCCH using the spatial received parameter. The UE can have a memory interface configured to send to a memory the spatial received parameter.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of early termination of uplink data transmissions for a UE are described. The UE transmits capacity information that indicates that the UE supports use of an ETS. The ETS indicates successful reception by the eNB of the uplink data prior to an end of a scheduled transmission period to transmit repeated instances of the data. The UE receives a schedule for repeated transmissions of the data that is based on a coverage level of the UE, and then transmits sets of one or more repetitions. After the transmission, the UE monitors a predetermined resource whether the ETS is present or whether the ETS indicates an ACK. If the ETS indicates successful reception, the UE terminates transmission of the remaining repetitions of the data and enters a sleep mode or transmits other uplink data.

    Abstract: Narrowband Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) implementations are discussed. An example Evolved NodeB (eNB) comprises a memory storing instructions, a processor configured to execute the instructions, and a transmitter circuit. The processor is configured to determine at least one of downlink or uplink scheduling for one or more machine-type communication (MTC)-enabled user equipments (UEs); to generate, based at least in part on the determined scheduling, one or more MTC-physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signals (M-PDCCH signals) associated with the one or more MTC-enabled UEs; and to perform channel coding, multiplexing, and scrambling of the one or more M-PDCCH signals. The transmitter circuit is configured to map the one or more M-PDCCH signals to resource element groups (REGs) in order of increasing subcarrier followed by orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol and to transmit the one or more M-PDCCH signals via a narrowband bandwidth of less than 1.4 MHz.

    Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate determination of spatial (and/or beam) assumption(s) for PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) transmitted after a BFR (Beam Failure Recovery) request but before TCI (Transmission Configuration Information) reconfiguration. One example embodiment can be an apparatus configured to: generate a BFR request that indicates a new candidate beam; process a CORESET (Control Resource Set)-BFR of a set of configured CORESETs, wherein the CORESET-BFR comprises a response to the BFR request; determine a spatial assumption for a first PDSCH based on the BFR request, wherein the first PDSCH is scheduled by a first CORESET of the set of configured CORESETs, wherein the first CORESET is different than the CORESET-BFR, wherein the first PDSCH is scheduled before a TCI state is one of reconfigured, reactivated, or re-indicated; and process the first PDSCH based on the determined spatial assumption for the first PDSCH.
