Abstract:
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system, which can comprise a set of electrical energy monitoring devices. Each of the set of electrical energy monitoring devices can be adapted to be mounted in a circuit breaker panel substantially adjacent to a corresponding circuit breaker. The system can comprise an energy monitoring master controller adapted to be communicatively coupled to each of the set of electrical energy monitoring devices.
Abstract:
A representation of a network having vertices connected by arcs is provided. Different collections of vertices in the network are iteratively selected. Balancing moves are performed in corresponding collections of the network, where the collections are represented by corresponding graphs according to a predefined structure.
Abstract:
To provide an index for a table in a database system, the index is partially sorted in an initial phase of building the index. Subsequently, in response to accessing portions of the index to process a database query, further sorting of the accessed portions of the index is performed.
Abstract:
A computer-executable method provides plural constraints representing corresponding objectives of an enterprise, where the objectives are related to members of the enterprise's portfolio. A model is provided for selecting the members of the portfolio, where the model contains the plural constraints. The model is solved to select the members of the portfolio.
Abstract:
A circuit for controlling pulsed current to a load, one application of which is in LED dimmer circuitry, comprises first and second reference nodes for receiving a supply voltage, an input node for receiving a timing signal such as a PWM signal, and a controlled switch coupled between the first and second reference voltage nodes for supplying current to the load. Pull-up circuitry may be coupled between a control electrode of the controlled switch and first reference voltage node, and a pull-down switch coupled between the control electrode and second reference voltage node. A control circuit coupled between the input node and control electrode of the controlled switch is configured to control the controlled switch in response to the timing signal. The circuit may further include a reference voltage source configured for producing a voltage of magnitude independent of supply voltage magnitude. The control circuit is coupled to the reference voltage source and operative to control the controlled switch in response to the timing signal and reference voltage.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating an output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of a light source are provided. A light source temperature coefficient tracking mechanism (e.g., a current source circuit) that generates an output signal, which tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source (e.g., temperature coefficient of a light emitting diode (LED)) is provided. A proportional to absolute temperature current source circuit (PTAT current source circuit) generates a first signal. A complimentary to absolute temperature current source circuit (CTAT current source circuit) generates a second signal. The output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source is based on the first signal and the second signal.
Abstract:
A method and a current sensor for measuring a current in a conductor. The sensor comprises a non-magnetic, flexible core member having a first end and a second end. A locking head having a channel therethrough is coupled to the first end of the core member. A first sensor conductor winding layer is mounted on the core member. Wherein the second end releasably engages the locking thread in the channel and adjustably configures the core member to surround the conductor as the second end is moved through the channel. In another embodiment the current sensor includes a locking tang within the channel and a plurality of sought tooth members on a portion of the core member and configured to selectively engage the locking tang as the second end of the core member is moved through the channel.
Abstract:
An optocoupler system includes a buffer, isolation, and a detector. The system includes a current transfer ratio (CTR) with a temperature coefficient. The buffer includes a light source that generates light that passes through the isolation. A detector receives light that passes through the isolation and generates an output signal based on the received light. A current transfer ratio (CTR) temperature coefficient compensation mechanism is provided that generates a base signal with a temperature coefficient that compensates the temperature coefficient of the CTR.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for electrochemically determining an analyte concentration value in a physiological sample are disclosed. The methods include using a test strip in which two time-current transients are measured by a meter electrically connected to an electrochemical test strip. Integrative current values are derived from the time-current transients and used in the calculation of analyte concentration.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining one or more prices that maximizes revenue for a given demand curve. For determining a single price that maximizes revenue, a geometric analysis of the demand curve is used to find a price that gives a first angle that is equal to a second angle. The first [103] and second [104] angles are calculated using a tangent line that is tangent to the demand curve at the price and reference lines that pass through the demand curve at the price. When the first angle is equal to the second angle [105], the determined price optimizes revenue for the product represented by the demand curve.
