    Abstract: According to embodiments of the present document, a prediction procedure may be performed for image/video coding, and the prediction procedure may include symmetric motion vector differences (SMVDs) and merge mode motion vector differences (MMVDs) according to an inter prediction. The inter prediction may be performed on the basis of reference pictures of a current picture, and types (e.g., a long term reference picture, a short term reference picture, etc.) of the reference pictures may be considered for the inter prediction. Therefore, performance and coding efficiency in the prediction procedure can be improved.

    Abstract: An image decoding method according to the present document may comprise: a step for deriving an inter prediction mode from encoded information; a step for constructing reference pictures lists; a step for deriving motion information including reference picture indices for symmetric motion vector differences (SMVD) on the basis of reference pictures included in the reference picture lists; and a step for generating prediction samples on the basis of the motion information. The reference picture indices for SMVD may be derived on the basis of short-term reference pictures included in the reference picture lists.

    Abstract: An image decoding method includes: acquiring, from a bitstream, luma weight L0 flag information indicating whether there is an L0 prediction-related weight factor and luma weight L1 flag information indicating whether there is an L1 prediction-related weight factor; determining to apply decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR) to an L0 motion vector and L1 motion vector for a current block, when the luma weight L0 flag information and the luma weight L1 flag information are both zero; when it has been determined to apply DMVR, deriving a refined L0 motion vector and a refined L1 motion vector by applying the DMVR to the current block; deriving prediction samples for the current block on the basis of L0 prediction using the refined L0 motion vector and L1 prediction using the refined L1 motion vector; and generating reconstruction samples for the current block on the basis of the prediction samples.

    Abstract: An image decoding method according to the present document may comprise the steps of: deriving an intra prediction mode of a chroma block as a cross-component linear model (CCLM) mode on the basis of intra prediction mode information; updating the intra prediction mode of the chroma block on the basis of an intra prediction mode of a luma block corresponding to the chroma block; when the chroma block is not square, remapping the updated intra prediction mode to a wide-angle intra prediction mode; and determining an LFNST set including LFNST matrices on the basis of the remapped intra prediction mode.
