In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a secondary cell group (SCG) is to enter an SCG dormant state and an indication for using one or more of configured grant (CG) on an uplink or semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) on a downlink for communication with a secondary node (SN) of the SCG during the SCG dormant state. The UE may communicate with the SN of the SCG during the SCG dormant state using the one or more of CG or SPS. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for layer 2 relay user equipment (UE) mobility. A relay UE relays data between a first network entity and a remote UE based on a first configuration of the remote UE. The relay UE may receive, from the first network entity on a first connection, a handover request that includes a second configuration for a second network entity or a third configuration for the remote UE. The relay UE determines whether dual active protocol stack radio link control channels are configured for the remote UE based on the first configuration or the third configuration. The relay UE establishes a second connection with the second network entity based on the second configuration, and transmits, to the remote UE, a handover status indicating a result of establishing the second connection with the second network entity.

A method that may be performed by a UE includes receiving signaling configuring the UE with a set of cells that support physical (PHY) layer or medium access control (MAC) layer mobility signaling and with a measurement configuration for the set of cells, reporting, to a network entity, measurements for at least some of the set of cells in accordance with the measurement configuration, and receiving, from the network entity, PHY layer or MAC layer mobility signaling to move the UE to one of the cells in the set, wherein the mobility signaling is based, at least in part, on the reported measurements.

An example method includes receiving signaling indicating a set of cells supported by one or more distributed units (DUs) under a common central unit (CU); identifying a subset of the set of cells activated to serve the UE, wherein a first cell of the activated cells comprises a primary cell selected from cells included in a candidate set of primary cells (PCells); and identifying another one of the activated cells to serve as the PCell if the first cell is re-designated as a secondary cell (SCell), wherein the other one of the activated cells comprises a cell selected from the candidate set of PCells.
