Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes media stream transmission techniques for a computing device. The computing device captures a first media item and identifies a primary portion of the first media item and a secondary portion of the first media item different than the primary portion. The computing device applies a first compression algorithm to the primary portion of the first media item to generate a compressed primary portion. The computing device applies a second compression algorithm to the secondary portion of the first media item to generate a compressed secondary portion, where a data compression ratio of the second compression algorithm is greater than a data compression ratio of the first compression algorithm. The computing device transmits, to a central computing device, the compressed primary portion of the first media item and the compressed secondary portion of the first media item.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to monitoring a crypto-partitioned, or cipher-text, wide-area network (WAN). A first computing device may be situated in a plain-text portion of a first enclave behind a first inline network encryptor (INE). A second device may be positioned in a plain-text portion of a second enclave behind a second INE. The two enclaves may be separated by a cipher-text WAN, over which the two enclaved may communicate. The first computing device may receive a data packet from the second computing device. The first computing device may then determine contents of a header of the data packet. The first computing device may, based at least in part on the contents of the header of the data packet, determine a status of the cipher-text WAN.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for securing unmanned aerial system (UAS) operations includes receiving a UAS flight plan for a UAS and a UAS operation, the UAS flight plan including a flight profile and flight path for the UAS; determining a mission type for the UAS operation requires use of dummy aircraft information; and assigning a dummy UAS identification for the UAS. Generating dummy airframe information, including dummy airframe characteristics and performance data, for the UAS, includes generating dummy airframe information that corresponds to airframe information for an actual civil aircraft that could follow the received UAS flight plan. The method further includes causing the UAS to broadcast the dummy UAS identification and the dummy airframe information with an automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast signal during at least a portion of the UAS operation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems, methods, and products comprise an analytic server, which provides a terrain segmentation and classification tool for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. The server accurately segments and classifies terrain types in SAR imagery and automatically adapts to new radar sensors data. The server receives a first SAR imagery and trains an autoencoder based on the first SAR imagery to generate learned representations of the first SAR imagery. The server trains a classifier based on labeled data of the first SAR imagery data to recognize terrain types from the learned representations of the first SAR imagery. The server receives a terrain query for a second SAR imagery. The server translates the second imagery data into the first imagery data and classifies the second SAR imagery terrain types using the classifier trained for the first SAR imagery. By reusing the original classifier, the server improves system efficiency.

Abstract: A communication optimization system/method for mobile networks uses a server that generates waypoints based on a first communication network within a route to be travelled by an aerial vehicle, the aerial vehicle comprising a communication hub configured to communicate with at least one communication node, a communication hub controller configured control movement of a steerable antenna, and an aerial vehicle controller configured control movement of the aerial vehicle. The server then transmits the waypoints to the aerial vehicle controller; periodically monitors networks not connected to the communication hub; when a second communication network not connected to the communication hub satisfies a threshold, transmits causes the communication controller to steer the steerable antenna in a direction of the second communication network, further causing the communication hub to communicate and connect with the second communication network.

Abstract: In general, the techniques of this disclosure describe a computing device that is configured to verify an identity of a user based on authentication factors received from multiple authentication devices. The computing device, which may be configured to operate as a server device, may receive an authentication factor from at least three authentication devices in a group of three or more authentication devices via a guard device. The computing device may determine a probability that the respective user of each respective authentication device is a particular trusted user based on the received authentication factors. If the probability exceeds a threshold authentication probability, the computing device may send an authentication confirmation to a client device.
