    Abstract: In an image formation device, a driven gear is coupled to a far end portion in a unit inserting and withdrawing direction of a rotary fixing member or a rotary pressure member of a fixing unit. A driving gear is provided in a far end portion of a fixing unit housing part and engages with the driven gear when the fixing unit is housed in the fixing unit housing part. The driving gear and the driven gear are formed so that a transmission force transmitted from the driving gear to the driven gear in a mutual engagement position has a component so directed as to horizontally press the fixing unit against columns making a pair. The fixing unit as housed in the fixing unit housing part is pressed by the transmission force against the columns and positioned in a direction orthogonal to the unit inserting and withdrawing direction.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance part, a head unit, a distance changing part, three blocks and three pins. The distance changing part moves the head unit between a printing position where a printing operation is performed and a retreat position separated away from the conveyance part farther than the printing position. The three blocks are provided in one of the conveyance part and the head unit at intervals in the conveyance direction and a width direction crossing the conveyance direction. The three pins are provided in the other of the conveyance part and the head unit at positions facing the three blocks. Each of the three blocks has a positioning groove having a pair of inclined surfaces. The pins come into two-point contact with the inclined surfaces of the blocks in a state where the head unit is positioned in the printing position.

    Abstract: A measurement method of nozzle overlapping width, in a main scanning direction intersecting a conveying direction of a recording medium, in an inkjet recording apparatus including a plurality of heads each having a plurality of nozzles that eject ink, includes a first step (S120), a second step (S130), and a third step (S140). The first step (S120) includes forming an image for measurement on the recording medium, using image data including combination patterns of droplet sizes, different with respect to each of blocks extending along the main scanning direction. The second step (S130) includes selecting the block having uniform density along the main scanning direction, in the image for measurement. The third step (S140) includes determining the nozzle overlapping width using a droplet size ratio adopted to form the image for measurement, on a basis of a position of the selected block.

    Abstract: An input circuit writes image data into a line buffer. An output circuit reads pixel data of a pixel to be sampled among the pixel data, the pixel specified correspondingly to a shrinking ratio. Further, with a throughput obtained by multiplying a throughput of the output circuit by a square of an inverse number of the shrinking ratio, the input circuit skips another pixel than the pixel to be sampled among the pixel data of an input block of a predetermined size that extends over lines of an inverse number of the shrinking ratio, and writes the pixel data into the line buffer. Upon writing pixel data of an adjacent input block of the input block in a secondary scanning direction into the line buffer, the output circuit reads from the line buffer the pixel data of the pixel to be sampled and continuously outputs the pixel data.

    Abstract: Provided is an image forming system that can find an authenticated image forming apparatus from a mobile terminal. The installation transmitting unit transmits the installation location information to the server. The position acquisition unit acquires position information. The location presentation unit receives the installation location information indicating the installation location of the image forming apparatus close to the position information from the server and presents it to the user.     Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a fixing belt, a pressing member, a heating source, a temperature detecting element, a recording medium detection unit, and a control unit. The heating source is arranged to be opposed to the pressing member via the fixing belt so as to be in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the fixing belt and heats the fixing belt at a fixing nip between the fixing belt and the pressing member.
