Abstract: A method and a device for transmitting or receiving uplink control information in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, an indicator indicating whether hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information and configured grant-uplink control information (CG-UCI) are to be joint-encoded, identifying that a transmission of the HARQ-ACK information overlaps with a configured grant-physical uplink shared channel (CG-PUSCH) transmission, when the indicator indicates the HARQ-ACK information and the CG-UCI are to be joint-encoded, performing a joint-encoding of the HARQ-ACK information and the CG-UCI, determining a number of coded modulation symbols for the HARQ-ACK information and the CG-UCI based on a beta offset value for the HARQ-ACK information, and transmitting, to the base station, uplink data on the CG-PUSCH with the HARQ-ACK information and the CG-UCI based on the determined number of coded modulation symbols.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5G or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4G communication system such as LTE. A method of transmitting a synchronization signal for device-to-device (D2D) communication in an asynchronous network is provided. The method includes transmitting, at the first cell, a system information block (SIB) including resource allocation information of a first cell and at least one neighboring cell, determining whether a first terminal is in a first mode and whether the first terminal is scheduled to perform one of a D2D communication and a D2D discovery, determining, when the first terminal is in the first mode, whether the first terminal is required to transmit a D2D synchronization signal (D2DSS), and transmitting, when the first terminal is required to transmit the D2DSS, scheduling information including a transmission time point and transmission reference timing information to the first terminal.

The method includes measuring first channel state information (CSI) using a reference signal transmitted from a base station, estimating second CSI from the first CSI using a first type reference signal for compensating a common phase error (CPE) and a second type reference signal for compensating the CPE and inter carrier interference (ICI), and feeding back the estimated second CSI to the base station.
