    Abstract: A vehicle center console assembly includes a main body, a rear compartment lid and at least one removable center console accessory. The main body has a forward accessory area and a rearward compartment area. The rear compartment lid is pivotally attached to the rearward compartment area. The removable center console accessory includes a thermos holder assembly having a housing installed within the forward accessory area of the main body, a pivot structure supported by the housing and a thermos supporting member. A removable thermos bottle is removeably placed in the thermos supporting member. The thermos supporting member is supported by the pivot structure for movement between a horizontal orientation in which the thermos supporting member and the thermos bottle are retained within the housing and an inclined orientation in which the thermos supporting member and the thermos bottle are pivoted upward at least partially out of the housing.

    Abstract: A body vehicle structure has a front side member, a power plant and an elongated member. The front side member has an outboard opening and an inboard opening open to a hollow interior. The outboard opening and the inboard opening are offset from one another relative to a front end of the front side member. The power plant is supported to the vehicle structure inboard of the front side member adjacent to the inboard opening. The elongated member extends through the outboard opening, the hollow interior, and the inboard opening of the front side member. In response to an impact event of an off-center impact test a front end of the elongated member adjacent and outboard relative to a front end of the front side member is impacted moving a rear end of the elongated member into contact with the vehicle power plant transmitting impacting force thereto.

    Abstract: A vehicle body structure includes a front side member, a body attachment structure and an off-center impact structure. The body attachment structure is attached to an outboard wall of the front side member along a front-section forward of an outboard opening and extends in an outboard direction from the front side member. The off-center impact structure has an elongated member with a straight portion that extends through the outboard opening and into a hollow interior of the front side member. The elongated member is fixedly coupled to the outboard wall of the front side member adjacent to, spaced apart from and rearward of the body attachment structure. In response to an impact event of an off-center impact test the body attachment structure deforms and moves into contact with the elongated member transferring impact force to the elongated member.

    Abstract: A vehicle body structure defines a cargo area. With a rear door in a closed orientation the rear door blocks access to the cargo area. In an open orientation, the rear door exposes the cargo area. A first cover is supported within the vehicle body structure above and spaced apart from a floor proximate a forward end of the cargo area. The first cover is movable between a retracted orientation exposing the cargo area and an extended orientation at least partially concealing the cargo area. A second cover is attached to the rear door along an interior surface thereof such that with the rear door in the closed orientation and the first cover in the extended orientation, the first cover abuts the second cover such that the first cover and the second cover conceal the cargo area.

    Abstract: A vehicle frame has a first side member, a second side member and a cross-member. The first and second side members extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The cross-member extends in a vehicle lateral direction between the first and second side members. The cross-member is fixed to the first side member and the second side member. A mid-portion of the cross-member has a first upright wall and a second upright wall spaced apart from one another defining a hollow area therebetween. A bulkhead is installed within the cross-member between the first upright wall and the second upright wall. The bulkhead has a plurality of surface sections that extend between the first upright wall and the second upright wall and perpendicular to the first upright wall and the second upright wall. The bulkhead is configured to restrict movement of the first upright wall relative to the second upright wall.

    Abstract: A push arm is coupled to a vehicle frame proximate an intersection of a first side member and a first cross-member. A rear surface of the push arm is located adjacent to a front suspension structure with a gap defined therebetween. The push arm extends forward and laterally outward such that a front surface of the push arm is located outboard of and spaced apart from a front end of the first side member. A energy absorbing structure is positioned within the gap and is attached to the rear surface of the push arm. The energy absorbing structure is spaced apart from the front suspension structure in a non-impacted state. The energy absorbing structure is configured such that in response to an off-center impact event, impact force to the energy absorbing structure pushes the energy absorbing structure into contact with the front suspension structure, such that the energy absorbing structure deforms and absorbs impact energy.
