    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for measurement and reporting techniques based on zero power slots. A UE may receive an allocation of one or more ZP slots from a network entity. The one or more ZP slots may correspond to one or more transmission gaps associated with the network entity. The UE may detect noise energy in the one or more ZP slots corresponding to the one or more transmission gaps associated with the network entity and measure the noise energy detected in the one or more ZP slots. The measured noise energy in the one or more ZP slots may correspond to a frequency dependence of an Rx signal at the UE.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to reporting and correcting a spatial misalignment of an orbital angular momentum (OAM) waveform communicated from a second device to a first device. In an aspect, the first device receives from the second device, the OAM waveform having a spatial misalignment with respect to the second device. The first device determines the spatial misalignment and further determines spatial coordinates for correcting the spatial misalignment and/or one or more channel measurements of the OAM waveform. Thereafter, the first device sends a report based on the spatial misalignment to the second device, the report including the spatial coordinates for correcting the spatial misalignment and/or the one or more channel measurements. The first device then receives an adjusted OAM waveform from the second device, wherein the adjusted OAM waveform is received having a corrected spatial alignment with respect to the second device based on the report.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, when a high subcarrier spacing (SCS) is used for sidelink communications, the user equipments (UEs) may use a modified sidelink slot structure for the sidelink communications. In one example, the slot structure may include at least two automatic gain control (AGC) symbols with at least one sidelink control channel symbol between the two AGC symbols. The UE may perform an AGC procedure during the two AGC symbols and the sidelink control channel symbol. In some examples, the slot structure may include bundled slots to minimize per slot overhead associated with AGC symbols and sidelink control channel symbols. For example, at a high SCS, the slot structure may include a first slot including multiple AGC symbols, Subsequent bundled slots may not include AGC symbols and/or sidelink control channel symbols.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Polar coding involves assigning bits to different bit-channels, and encoding the bits such that certain bit-channels (e.g., polar channels) are polarized to increased reliability, while other bit-channels are polarized to decreased reliability. To ensure that polar codes for extended reality (XR) and video applications have increased reliability for the aspects of an XR stream or video code that are most important, the information bits of a stream may be sorted based on priority or importance. Then the sorted information bits may be mapped to the most reliable bit-channels of a polar encoder. Any errors in the transmission may therefore be most likely to occur in the less important bits. Accordingly, in the case of XR, the information bits that are most important to user experience/perception are the most likely to be successfully received and decoded at the receiver.

A wireless communications device may receive a waveform including both a first waveform comprising an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform and a second waveform comprising a single-carrier waveform via a set of time-frequency resources. The wireless device may decode the first waveform based on receiving the waveform, where the first waveform includes one or more reference signals. The wireless communications device may decode the second waveform based on receiving the waveform and on a time domain equalization filter that is based on decoding the one or more reference signals, where the second waveform comprises a set of data bits. In some examples, the waveform may further include a third waveform including a second OFDM waveform and the wireless communications device may decode the third waveform including one or more second reference signals based on receiving the waveform.
