Abstract: An aircraft propulsion system, including a turbojet and a heat exchanger system which includes a main heat exchanger, a hot air supply pipe, a transfer pipe transferring hot air to an air management system, a main supply pipe supplying cold air from the fan duct, an evacuation pipe expelling air to the outside, a sub heat exchanger with a high pressure pipe going therethrough, a sub supply pipe supplying cold air and including a sub regulating valve, a sub evacuation pipe expelling air, a temperature sensor, and a controller controlling the system according to the temperature measured The sub regulating valve comprises a door articulated between closed and open positions, a return spring constraining the door in the open position, and a realizing system, controlled by the controller, mobile between a blocking position and a realizing position in which the door is released to move to the open position.

Abstract: An asymmetric aircraft configuration having a first and a second wing, the first wing having a span larger than the second wing. A first engine is mounted on the first wing, and a second engine mounted on the rear end of the aircraft with its centerline aligned with the aircraft longitudinal axis. The rear end of the aircraft has a T tail, and the second engine is configured to ingest and consume air forming a boundary layer during the flight. A main landing gear assembly includes a first landing gear attached to the first wing, and a second landing gear attached to an area of the fuselage close to the second wing.

Abstract: A method for reworking a composite laminate comprising a plurality of tapes, comprising the following steps: detecting the occurrence of a defect on a tape of composite material while the tape is being laid up; continuing the lay-up of the defective tape until a tape length is formed which surpasses a manufacturing length of the tape; catching the part of the defective tape that surpasses the manufacturing length of the tap; cutting the defective tape in the part of the defective tape that surpasses the manufacturing length of the tape; removing from the laminate the caught defective tape by the catching system, and laying-up a replacement tape in the place of the removed defective tape.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing curved composite material omega stringers, comprising: automatic tape laying-up in an ATL machine, an AFP machine or a FLU machine and automatic cutting of the contour, to achieve a straight preform with reinforcements; flat forming to obtain an omega shape on the straight preform to transform it into a straight omega shaped preform; and curve forming the straight omega shaped preform by placing it in a flexible tool comprising a longitudinally embedded stiff band and a laminate clamping arrangement, the laminate clamping arrangement being located in extreme positions of the flexible tool, the flexible tool being covered by a mechanical closing arrangement, such that a head of the straight omega shaped preform has reinforcements on both extremes, the reinforcements being held by the laminate clamping arrangement during the forming process, and afterwards the straight omega shaped preform is heated and transformed into a curved omega stringer.

Abstract: A configuration and manufacturing method for a trailing edge of an aircraft airfoil, such as a control surface or a lifting surface is described. The trailing edge is formed and configured by upper and lower composite covers, which are stitched to each other with a metallic wire, such as the metallic wire is electrically in contact with upper and lower metallic meshes to provide electrical continuity between meshes. According to a method, upper and lower covers configuring the trailing edge, are stitched with the metallic wire before curing the covers, so that the metallic wire gets embedded within the composite material. A trailing edge for an aircraft airfoil, which is easy to manufacture and that at the same time fulfills aerodynamic, mechanical and electrical conductivity requirements is described.
