    Abstract: A video decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus comprises deriving control points (CPs) for the current block; obtaining motion vectors for the CPs; deriving a motion vector of a sub-block or a sample unit in the current block on the basis of the obtained motion vectors; deriving a prediction sample for the current block on the basis of the derived motion vector; and generating a reconstruction sample on the basis of the prediction sample. The method enables effective performance of inter prediction through the motion vectors (transformation prediction), not only when an image in the current block is moved in a plane, but also when the image in the current block is rotated, zoomed in, zoomed out, or transformed into a parallelogram. Accordingly, the amount of data for the residual signal for the current block can be eliminated or reduced, and the overall coding efficiency can be improved.

    Abstract: An intra prediction method includes: deriving a partitioning structure of a luma block; deriving intra chroma prediction mode information for deriving an intra prediction mode of a chroma block corresponding to the luma block; when the intra chroma prediction mode information indicates a derived mode (DM) or a linear mode (LM), partitioning the chroma block on the basis of the partitioning structure of the luma block so as to derive a plurality of chroma sub-blocks; and generating prediction samples for the plurality of chroma sub-blocks. The method performs illumination compensation-based inter prediction and reduces a boundary error of a block while reducing the amount of data in additional information. The method performs partitioning and intra prediction for a chroma block on the basis of a partitioning structure of a luma block.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: acquiring information on a first SAO and information on a second SAO of a current block through a bit stream; generating a reconstructed block of the current block; and performing an SAO procedure for the reconstructed block on the basis of the first SAO and the second SAO, wherein the information on the first SAO comprises first offset type information applied to the first SAO and first offset value information for n offset values, and the information on the second SAO comprises second offset type information applied to the second SAO and second offset value information for m offset values. According to the present invention, an efficient SAO procedure can be performed on the basis of a plurality of SAOs, and the video quality of images can be further improved.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a reconstruction area for a target area within a current picture; deriving a predetermined plurality of basic filters for the target area; updating at least one basic filter among the plurality of basic filters; receiving weight information for each of the basic filters; determining a merge filter for the target area on the basis of the basic filters and the weight information; and generating a modified reconstruction area by performing filtering on the target area on the basis of the filter coefficient of the determined merge filter. The present invention allows updating with filter information suitable for improving the visual quality of the target area and can thereby improve the accuracy of filtering and overall coding efficiency.
