Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, when a high subcarrier spacing (SCS) is used for sidelink communications, the user equipments (UEs) may use a modified sidelink slot structure for the sidelink communications. In one example, the slot structure may include at least two automatic gain control (AGC) symbols with at least one sidelink control channel symbol between the two AGC symbols. The UE may perform an AGC procedure during the two AGC symbols and the sidelink control channel symbol. In some examples, the slot structure may include bundled slots to minimize per slot overhead associated with AGC symbols and sidelink control channel symbols. For example, at a high SCS, the slot structure may include a first slot including multiple AGC symbols, Subsequent bundled slots may not include AGC symbols and/or sidelink control channel symbols.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, feedback information corresponding to a code block group in conjunction with an indication of a redundancy version for retransmission of the code block group. The UE may monitor for the retransmission of the code block group based on the indication of the redundancy version for the retransmission of the code block group. The UE may then decode the retransmission of the code block group based on the monitoring and the redundancy version for the retransmission of the code block group.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reducing the signaling overhead for configuring a common reference signal used in performing coarse power control of multiple spatial domain multiplexing (SDM) uplink streams are provided. A base station may be in communication with a UE via multiple SDM streams directed from the same panel of the respective device. The base station may configure a common pathloss reference signal for the SDM streams of the same panel for the UE. This may include sending a list of possible pathloss reference signal configurations to the UE, and then identifying which configuration to use for the pathloss reference signal for the group of SDM streams. Once known, the UE may measure the reference signal for open loop power control. The BS may occasionally reconfigure the common reference signal for the grouped SDM streams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, including a movable relay location variance report. The movable relay location variance report may enable more robust and accurate communications between a control node (e.g., a user equipment (UE) and a base station) and a movable relay (e.g., a drone) equipped with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS). In some aspects, the location variance report may characterize the variance of the drone's location and transmit the information to the UE, the base station, or both. The location variance report may influence the control node beam width, the drone location, and an angle at which the drone may position a RIS. The control node may indicate an adjusted set of parameters to the drone based on receiving the location variance report.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for estimating one or more environmental factors at a first user equipment (UE). The one or more environmental factors may be based on estimates of a Doppler spread and a power delay profile (PDP) taken over a set of subsets of a time period, based on multiple signals received from a second UE or a base station over the time period. The first UE may estimate the Doppler spread and PDP for a channel over each of the set of subsets of the time period, and may combine the Doppler spread over the set of subsets and combine the PDP over the set of subsets. The first UE may use the combined Doppler spread and the combined PDP to determine one or more communication parameters for the channel.

In another aspect, receiving, by a wireless communication device, a first transmission, wherein the first transmission is non-coherently encoded independent of channel state information (CSI); and performing, by the wireless communication device, a non-coherent decoding operation on the first transmission to decode the first transmission.
