摘要： In a centrifugal rotor having an axially movable slide for opening and closing peripheral outlets from the separating chamber, there is formed a so-called closing chamber between the slide and the rotor body. The closing chamber is charged with operating liquid from the central axis of the rotor through a channel in the rotor. In the passage between the channel and the closing chamber are means by which the hydraulic pressure exerted on the slide from operating liquid in the channel is first reduced or eliminated in connection with discharge of operating liquid from the closing chamber and thereafter is again caused to act for closing of the slide.

摘要： In a plate heat exchanger in which the flow rates of the two heat exchanging fluids are different, it is possible to obtain an adjustment to differing proportions of the fluid flows, the pressure drops being given. To this end, the heat exchanger is provided with at least two sections of heat exchanging passages, in at least one of said sections the passages for the two respective fluids having essentially different flow resistances. Furthermore, the proportion of the flow resistances of the passages for the respective fluids in one section differs essentially from the corresponding proportion in at least one other section.

摘要： A flexible membrane wall divides a control valve housing into two chambers, one for a control fluid and one for a fluid to be processed, the latter chamber containing a valve seat coacting with a valve body secured to the central part of the membrane wall. This wall comprises two membrane members facing said chambers, respectively, and separated by a plurality of stiff supporting elements which are movable relative to each other. Each supporting element is pivotally connected at one end to the valve housing and at the other end to the valve body, whereby axial loads on the membrane members are transferred through the support elements to the housing and valve body.

摘要： In a centrifuge rotor having intermittently opening peripheral outlets for discharging separated solids and having a paring chamber with stationary paring means for discharging separated liquid, an arrangement is provided to prevent air from passing into the paring channel when opening of the peripheral outlets causes the liquid level to move radially outward in the rotor. The arrangement includes an annular partition of the rotor which allows liquid flow from its separating chamber to its paring chamber during normal operation but which prevents some liquid in the paring chamber from returning to the separating chamber due to opening of the peripheral outlets, and first and second stationary annular discs coaxial with the rotor and operable while the peripheral outlets are opened to maintain, respectively, a first liquid seal between the separating chamber and the paring channel and a second liquid seal between the paring channel and the atmosphere surrounding the rotor.

摘要： A connection between a vacuum source and a conduit of a milking machine is controlled by a valve body having a position for providing a normal working vacuum in the conduit and a position for providing a reduced working vacuum in the conduit. The valve body is actuated by an element movable in a chamber in response to a pressure change in one part of the chamber communicating with the vacuum source through a passage; and a regulating device is provided for opening and closing this passage to cause movement of the valve body from one position to the other by the actuating element. The regulating device may be under the control of a milk flow indicator, so that the reduced vacuum is provided automatically whenever the milk flow is below a certain rate.

摘要： The solids separated from a liquid in a centrifugal rotor are discharged through outlets of the rotor into a stationary chute surrounding the rotor and into which a flushing liquid is supplied. The chute is provided with an overflow outlet which coacts with the supply means for the flushing liquid to provide in the chute a layer of liquid of a thickness determined by the overflow outlet and rotating around the rotor, the discharged solids being received by and dispersed in this rotating layer and departing together with liquid over the overflow outlet.

摘要： Inlet conduits supply different liquids under pressure to a measuring unit which delivers measured quantities of the respective liquids to a common outlet conduit for the desired liquid mixture. To counteract variations in the flow rate of the mixture in the outlet conduit due to operation of the measuring unit, the inlet conduit for one of the liquids and the outlet conduit for the liquid mixture are connected to respective chambers containing a movable dividing member subjected to opposing pressures in the two chambers. When the flow rate decreases in the outlet conduit, the resulting pressure drop in the outlet chamber connected to this conduit causes the constant pressure in the other chamber to move the dividing member into the outlet chamber and thereby expel liquid mixture therefrom so as to compensate for the decreased flow rate in the outlet conduit.
