    Abstract: A connector for an armored cable including a connector body having an opening extending therethrough and a gland nut telescopically engageable with the connector body. The gland nut has an aperture for receiving the armored cable. The connector further includes a sealing ring positionable within the gland nut and has an inner annular surface engageable with the armored cable for sealing about same on an opposed outer annular surface. The sealing ring includes an annular groove formed about an outer surface thereof, and the groove permits the sealing ring to diametrically contract upon linear compression of the sealing ring. In addition, an isolating device is provided that is positionable about the sealing ring for frictionally isolating the sealing ring from the gland nut and permitting the gland nut to rotate substantially independently of the sealing ring.

    Abstract: An electrical cable connector seals an armoured electrical cable entering an explosion proof enclosure. The connector has less parts than existing connectors and takes less time to seal and assemble. The connector includes a rigid substantially tubular body portion with external threads at each end, the body portion has a passage therethrough for insulated conductors of an armoured electrical cable, an internal curved shoulder at one end of the body portion, and an internal taper at the other end of the body portion. A substantially tubular seal made from firm resilient elastomeric material passes over the armoured electrical cable, the seal has a substantially cylindrical inner surface, a frusto-conical outer surface extends from a small end, having a curved lip at the small end where the outer surface and the inner surface join, the curved lip is adapted to match the internal curved shoulder of the body portion. A first threaded cover holds the tubular seal to the body portion, a substantially tubular adaptor fits over the installed conductors and has an internal taper and an external shoulder that forms a sealant cavity between the two internal cavities, and a second threaded cover holds the tubular adaptor to the body portion.

    Abstract: A system and method for seamless exchange and interaction of multimedia content between communication devices in a network are disclosed. The method can include the discovery and identification of devices within proximity of a sending device. The found devices can be authenticated through unique identifiers established during registration. Connection requirements can be determined based on the identifiers associated with the found devices and the sending device. In turn, the sender can establish a connection with the found devices using the connection requirements. The sending device can share or serve as a remote control to redirect and navigate the content, with a simple action or a gesture command, to the found device. The shared multimedia content, can either reside on the sender's mobile device or on a remote server within a connected network.

    Abstract: Computer-readable media, computerized methods, and computer systems for alerting a user that an operating system has entered a secure mode is provided. Initially, inputs are received at an operating system residing in a default mode. Typically, the default mode allows applications running on the operating system to access the inputs. If the inputs are identified as a call to perform a protected operation, the operating system is transitioned from the default mode to the secure mode. Typically, the secure mode restricts the applications from intercepting the inputs. The transition to the secure mode is automatically communicated to the user via an indicator device. Generally, automatic communication includes providing a message from the operating system to the indicator device over a secure pathway that triggers the indicator device to generate a user-perceivable output. Accordingly, the operating system exerts exclusive control over the operation of the indicator device.

    Abstract: A pipe clamp secures a pipe to a structural member. The pipe clamp includes an inverted U-shaped clamp body having a transverse surface and a pair of spaced-apart legs for attachment to the structural member. A threaded bolt is moveably accommodated through an opening in the transverse surface. The pipe engagement saddle is positioned at the distal end of the bolt.
