Abstract:
A facial expression recognition apparatus and a facial expression recognition method thereof are provided. The facial expression recognition apparatus comprises a gray image generating unit, a face edge detection unit, a motion skin extraction unit, a face contour generating unit and a facial expression recognition unit. The gray image generating unit generates a gray image according to an original image. The face edge detection unit outputs a face edge detection result according to the gray image. The motion skin extraction unit generates a motion skin extraction result according to the original image, and generates a face and background division result according to the motion skin extraction result. The face contour generating unit outputs a face contour according to the gray image, the face edge detection result and the face and background division result. The facial expression recognition unit outputs a facial expression recognition result according to the face contour.

Disclosed is a method for saving electricity consumed by a computer. The method includes the steps of defining a plurality of items of service so that a user can select one of the items of service, identifying at least one device, driver and application corresponding to the selected item of service and providing a simplified process for actuating the device, driver and application corresponding to the selected item of service.

A focusing method, suitable for an image capturing apparatus using in an environment of low brightness, is provided herein. The focusing method includes that an image sensing unit in the image capturing apparatus is wholly or partially divided into a plurality of regions, and digital image data sensed by the image sensing unit is divided into a plurality of sets corresponding to the regions of the image sensing unit. The regional image data corresponding to each of the regions are summed up during the focusing step, so as to obtain a sum of data for each region. Each sum of data is used to calculate a corresponding contrast value, and the contrast value is used to perform calculations for the focusing step, so as to obtain a focus.

A filter comprises a receptacle including a positive terminal pin, a negative terminal pin and a ground terminal pin; a filter box installed at one side of the receptacle; the filter box being installed with electric elements; a filter cover serving to seal theses electric elements within the filter box; a ground terminal pin being installed at another side of the filter box; the electric elements and grounding terminal being connected to the positive terminal pin, negative terminal pin and ground terminal pin so as to form a filtering circuit; a positive electrode of the filtering circuit being welded with a positive conductive wire and a negative conductive wire; a metal casing having a receiving groove for being engaged to the filter box and the receptacle; and an isolating cover being engaged to the metal casing; thereby the teeth piercing into a periphery of the isolating cover.
