Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a pouring and temperature determining device for a wine bottle. Specifically, the present invention relates to a spout for a wine bottle which may be sealed and which provides a display of the wine temperature. In particular, the temperature of the bottle contents are displayed and stored so that the last recorded temperature may be redisplayed. By knowing the temperature of the contents of the bottle, someone desirous of consuming the wine will know if the correct temperature has been reached prior to pouring.
Abstract:
A storage container with collapsible lid and utensil. The present invention consists of a base having a flexible and collapsible silicone lid or hood. This hood or lid allows for easy opening and closing without popping off or unscrewing. This hood or lid also ensures that when closed the food inside is fully covered from spills and splashes. Additionally as the flexible hood or lid remains permanently attached to the base of the container, it cannot be misplaced.
Abstract:
A machine includes a body, a hollow cylinder fixedly attached to the body, a piston assembly slidable within the hollow cylinder, and a lever handle pivotally attached to the body. The hollow cylinder has a sealing end, and the sealing end is capable of engaging with and sealing to a stopper. The piston assembly includes a cross wall at a first end. The lever handle is coupled to the piston assembly so as to be capable of sliding the piston assembly in the hollow cylinder.
Abstract:
A wine aerator for pouring wine from a wine container such as a wine bottle into a receiver such as a wine glass. The wine aerator has a large mouthed vessel into which the wine is poured from any wine container and the wine passes through the vessel to an outlet having a plurality of radial holes to break up the flow of wine into small discrete flows to carry out the aeration process. The wine aerator has a base that is affixed to the vessel and has a plurality of outwardly extending projections that are dimensioned so as to contact the rim of a wine glass to position the wine aerator atop of the wine glass while the wine aerator is being used. The wine aerator is inexpensively constructed and has no moving parts where leakage could occur.
Abstract:
A cooling element for use with a carafe that may be used for serving a consumable liquid such as wine. The cooling element can be inserted into the open, upper end of the carafe and the cooling element has as hollow tube that is filled with a cooling agent such as ice, and which extends downwardly into direct contact with the liquid contained within the carafe. There is a passageway that is formed between the cooling element and the carafe that allows the liquid to be poured out of the carafe without removing the cooling element from the carafe. The hollow tube is constructed of a material that has a high thermal conductivity, such as stainless steel, such that the heat exchange is efficient and the heat passes through a single thickness of the heat conductive material.
Abstract:
A support for providing a stable resting place for a food product being cooked in a roasting pan. The support has a pliable spine and a plurality of heat resistant elements that extend outwardly from the spine. In one embodiment the spine has a core member, such as a wire, that enables it to be manipulated by a user into a variety of shapes so as to be adaptable to support foods having different shapes and sizes. The spine and heat resistant elements can be molded of silicone with the core member molded therewithin. In another embodiment, the core member is not present, and the support is assembled into stable conformations by the releasable engagement of heat resistant elements with each other. The heat resistant elements may be formed in a variety of shapes, including regularly spaced and paired T-shaped projections. Alternately, the heat resistant elements may be molded into various decorative shapes such as leaves, and as illustrated in one embodiment herein, gives the appearance of a laurel.
