摘要: A cooking appliance includes an oven cavity and a control system having a control display adapted to display an interactive sequence of display screens through which a user enters a cooking recipe. The sequence of display screens includes a cooking mode selection screen, a cooking temperature selection screen, a cooking monitoring selection screen from which a user selects from a probe monitoring process or a timer monitoring process, and a review screen for prompting the user to review the cooking mode, cooking temperature, and method of monitoring selections. The system allows a user to add additional stages to create a multi-stage recipe.

摘要: A volumetric representation of a hair simulation model determines collective hair attributes. To determine inter-hair collisions, vertices include average velocities of the adjacent portions of the model. The average velocities determine target velocities. Forces for the model are determined from the target velocity values. To direct hair to a desired pose, vertices include target and current density values representing the density of adjacent portions of the model in the desired pose and current position, respectively. The differences in density values determine pressure forces applied to the model. To determine the illumination of the hair, vertices include density values representing the density of adjacent portions of the model. The density values define a hair surface, and signed distance values relative to the surface are determined for the vertices. Normal vectors are determined from the gradients of the signed distance values at locations corresponding the positions of the hairs.

摘要: A tire pressure monitoring system monitors the periodic transmissions from each of the tire pressure monitoring sensors. If a particular sensor fails to report a counter is incremented. The count is compared to a limit, with a lower limit being set for when a vehicle is moving and a higher limit being set for when the vehicle is stationary. If the count exceeds the limit then it is determined that the particular transmitter is failing. When the vehicle transitions from stationary mode to moving mode the count is compared to limits. If the count is between two limits, then the count is reset to a lower number before the control monitors operation in moving mode. In this fashion, inaccurate identifications of a failed transmitter are reduced or eliminated by ensuring that the difference between the two limits does not result in an improper identification of a transmitter as failing when the vehicle transitions from stationary to moving mode.

摘要: The expandable magnetic tape cartridge storage system is designed to handle a moderate number of magnetic tape cartridges and is expandable without the need to add an additional robotic cartridge handling mechanism. This is accomplished by the use of a base module that consists of a half cylinder of magnetic tape cartridge storage locations. A center pivot robotic cartridge handling mechanism is included in the base module in order to transport the magnetic tape cartridges between the cartridge storage locations and a plurality of magnetic tape drives included in the base module. The capacity of this cartridge storage system can be increased by adding an additional half cylinder of magnetic tape cartridge storage locations to thereby create a complete cylinder of cartridge storage locations. The robotic cartridge storage mechanism is adaptable to operate in a half cylinder or a full cylinder environment to thereby accommodate the storage capacity increase without the need for additional robotic cartridge handling mechanisms. This cartridge storage system can also be used to expand the cartridge storage capacity of an existing automated cartridge storage system in moderate increments.
