Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for suspending delivery of electronic documents, that is, stopping and restarting electronic delivery of documents according to a user's preset schedule. The method may include the steps of entering a delivery schedule for the document into an electronic receiving device, and automatically suspending, without user intervention, delivery of the document based on the delivery schedule, then automatically restarting delivery at the time indicated by the user. In an electronic document delivery system, the apparatus for automatically suspending delivery of a document may include a scheduling unit and a suspension control unit. The scheduling unit is used to enter a delivery schedule for the electronic document into an electronic receiving device. The suspension control unit is coupled to the scheduling unit and automatically suspends and then restarts the delivery of the electronic document, without user intervention, based on the delivery schedule that is adjusted in accordance with a predetermined suspension scheme.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling one or more remote sensors includes wirelessly communicating with the sensors, monitoring operation of each one of the sensors, and causing any one of the sensors that is operating in an unauthorized manner to be disabled. In one embodiment, the sensors can include micro-mechanical structure supporting electronic circuitry. The electronic circuitry is capable of monitoring at least one performance parameter of the sensor, comparing the monitored parameter to a preset limit, and disabling the sensor if the preset performance limit is exceeded.

Abstract: An event management system is configured to host a first event that includes a first set of event endpoints that provides first and second sets of media streams to respective first and second sets of attendees during the first event. The event management system is configured to, while hosting the first event, create a second event that includes a second set of event endpoints that provide a third set of media streams to at least one of the first set of attendees and a fourth set of media streams during the second event. At least one of the second set of event endpoints is sufficiently separated from each of the first set of event endpoints so that the second event does not substantially interfere with the first event.

Abstract: An event management system is configured to host a collaboration event that includes first and second event endpoints that provide respective first and second sets of audio/visual (A/V) media streams to respective first and second sets of attendees during the first event. The event management system is configured to, while hosting the collaboration event, reconfigure the collaboration event to cause a third event endpoint to provide a third set of audio/visual (A/V) media streams to at least one of the first set of attendees.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, an image processing device, a computer network and a simple network printer wherein a simple network printer without RIP capability is enabled to print a print job that includes raster image processor instructions. In one embodiment of the method of the present invention, the steps include receiving and storing, by the simple network printer, a broadcast from a raster image processor (RIP)-enabled unit announcing the RIP-enabled unit's capabilities and, upon receiving a RIP print job request from a source, requesting the RIP-enabled unit to proxy the print job and send the print job in simple format to the simple network printer for printing.
