Abstract:
A refrigerated case includes a housing including an interior display volume and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a circuit defined by a heat exchanger section including a plurality of tubes that define a flow path, a reheat section including a reheat tube, and a connecting tube fluidly connecting the flow path of the heat exchanger section with the reheat tube. Air flows over the plurality of tubes of the heat exchanger section and rejects heat to a refrigerant flowing through the plurality of tubes to heat the refrigerant. The heated refrigerant then flows through the reheat tube. As the air passes over the reheat tube, the air accepts heat from the heated refrigerant flowing through the reheat tube.
Abstract:
A media storage disk box for containing a media storage disk, or optical disc, includes a unitary plastic body having a first panel, a second panel, and a spine panel, the spine panel intermediate of the first panel and the second panel, the first panel and the second panel movable about the spine panel between an open position and a closed position; a first metal cover coupled to the first panel, the first metal cover including one or more securing tabs proximate to a spine edge of the first metal cover, the one or more securing tabs engaging the first panel; and a second metal cover coupled to the second panel, the second metal cover including one or more securing tabs proximate to a spine edge of the second metal cover, the one or more securing tabs engaging the second panel.
Abstract:
A battery pack for a power tool includes a casing housing rechargeable cells. A receiving bay in the casing receives slide-in parts of the power tool and of a recharging stand, to retain the battery pack. A pair of primary electrical contacts is located in or adjacent the receiving bay. A recess opens into the receiving bay. A supplementary electrical contact is located within the recess, and a user-manipulable catch is also located in the recess alongside the supplementary contact. That is, a single recess houses both the supplementary contact and the mechanical catch. The supplementary contact is usable when recharging the battery to relay battery temperature information to a recharging stand, but has no function when the battery pack is attached to the power tool. The catch, useful in retaining the battery pack on the power tool, has no function with the recharging stand.
Abstract:
A refrigerated merchandiser system (10) includes a compressor (20), a condenser (30), a display case (100) having an evaporator (40), an expansion device (50), and an evaporator pressure control device (60) connected in a closed refrigerant circuit via refrigerant lines (12, 14, 16 and 18). The evaporator pressure control device (60) operates to maintain the pressure in the evaporator at a set point pressure so as to maintain the temperature of the refrigerant expanding from a liquid to a vapor within the evaporator (40) at a desired temperature. A controller (90) operatively associated with the evaporator pressure control device (60) maintains the set point pressure at a first pressure for the refrigerant equivalent to a first refrigerant temperature during a first refrigeration mode and at a second pressure for the refrigerant equivalent to a second refrigerant temperature about 2 to about 12 degrees warmer than the first temperature during a second refrigerant mode. The controller (90) sequences operation between said first refrigeration mode and said second refrigeration mode.
