Abstract: A high pressure cleaner with adjustable flow and/or pressure. A controller (CTL) serves to receive a wireless control signal (WCS) from a remote control unit (RCU), e.g. integrated in the spray handle (SH), in response to an input from a user. The controller (CTL) controls the high pressure module (HPM), e.g. electric power to its electric motor, so as to adjust a flow and/or pressure level at the liquid output (L_O) of the high pressure module (HPM) in accordance with the wireless control signal (WCS), between a plurality of different flow and/or pressure levels in an active state of the high pressure module (HPM). Further, the controller may be arranged to switch off electric power to the motor of the high pressure module (HPM) and/or activate a safety valve in response to a wireless control signal (WCS). The user interface (U_I) that allows the user to enter the desired flow and/or pressure level, may further visualize the flow and/or pressure level to the user.

Abstract: A cleaning device contains a cleaning nozzle unit with at least one nozzle having an exit channel with a nozzle opening. The unit is mounted on a rotary shaft having a longitudinal axis and a direction of rotation and the cleaning device further includes a propeller mounted on the rotary shaft. The propeller has at least one plate shaped vane with a first plate part having a leading edge with a length and a second plate part having a trailing edge with a length, the leading edge is oriented in the direction of rotation and the trailing edge is oriented in an opposite direction. The propeller has at least one first opening between the leading edge and a neighboring trailing edge, said first opening(s) having at least one height h1, determined parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotary shaft and between the leading edge and the neighboring trailing edge.

Abstract: A method of operating a vacuum device includes operating the vacuum device. Voltage is provided to a turbine of the vacuum device to spin a rotary element of the turbine. A flow of air is drawn through a portion of the vacuum device in response to spinning the rotary element of the turbine. A pressure difference between a first location inside the vacuum device and a second location inside the vacuum device. The first location is disposed upstream relative to a direction of the flow of air from the turbine. The first location is also disposed downstream relative to the direction of the flow of air from a filter element of the vacuum device. An amount of voltage across the turbine is adjusted in response to the measured pressure difference. A performance characteristic of the turbine is monitored.

Abstract: The invention provides an autonomous surface treatment vehicle, e.g. a floor cleaner, with an autonomy system navigating according to a map, a scanning sensor to detect a position of an obstacle within a scanning zone and generate a detection signal. A safety system is arranged to generate a safety stop in case the detection signal indicates an obstacle within a safety zone. The safety system can enter a special mode of operation, e.g. upon request from the autonomy system, where a special safety zone selection algorithm selects the safety zone e.g. from a special set of pre-determined safety zones. Especially, such special mode can provide safety zones with a relaxed speed limit in combination with a restricted direction limit, so as to provide a faster driving near a wall or similar known obstacle.
