    摘要: Amphoteric dissociating complexes which have a cationic group having the structure ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is an aliphatic alkyl group having 6 to 22 carbons,R.sub.2 is a member of the group consisting of --R.sub.4 --(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2)--COOH, --R.sub.4 --(CH.dbd.CH)COOH and --OPO.sub.3 H.sub.2, wherein R.sub.4 is --NH--, --NH--CO--, or --O--CO--, andR.sub.3 is hydrogen, --CH.sub.2 --COOH or --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --COOH; and an anionic group which is either a carboxylate having the formula.sup.- OOC--CH.sub.2 --(O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2).sub.x --OC.sub.n H.sub.2n+1 or a phosphate having the formula.sup.= O.sub.3 PO--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --(OCH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2).sub.x --OC.sub.n H.sub.2n+1 wherein:n is 8 to 22 and x is 1 to 10; and z is 1 when the anionic radical is a carboxylate and z is 2 when the anionic radical is a phosphate are disclosed.The compositions are effective carriers for active pharmaceutical or cosmetic ingredients. The active ingredients may be ionically complexed with the cationic or anionic group of the amphoteric complex or may be covalently bonded to one of the groups of the complex. Alternatively, the active substances may be transported in the carriers as micellar inclusions.

    摘要: A method of improving the reproducibility of the welds in an electric spot welding machine comprises prior to the initiation of a welding operation passing a preheating current of lower magnitude than the welding current through the parts to be welded. When either the total electrical workpiece resistance of the parts to be welded has fallen below a given limit or when its rate of decrease is slower than a predetermined limit the changeover from preheating current to welding current is effected.

    摘要: In an apparatus for electroslag welding of steel sheets with the aid of at least one wire electrode pair, a welding gap defined between the electrodes of the electrode pair, current-carrying conduits for the electrode pair, and a supply tube for supplying metal in a powdered state, and welding flux into the welding gap, the improvement includes a shielding device creating a duct along the current-carrying conduits. The duct, owing to the shielding device, is substantially free of any magnetic field, and the supply tube is positioned in the duct.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for selectively electrochemically etching a surface is described. The use of the apparatus and the related method allows the establishment of etched planar surface which may be inclined with respect to the original surface.The apparatus has a cathode and multiple connectors which attach to the workpiece whose surface is to be etched. When the apparatus is operated the potential of the connectors are set so that the cathode is at least as negative as the lowest potential of the connectors.

    摘要: From organs of embryonic mammalia a new extract of active ingredients is recovered which extract can be used for controlling a reduced blood flow through periperhic organs and through the brain and which extract can be also used for controlling acne vulgaris. The corresponding extracts are used as active ingredients of corresponding pharmaceutical preparations.The new pharmaceutically active extract is prepared according to a process in which polar substances having a molecular weight below 5000 are isolated from the embryonic mammalian organs avoiding any degradation of substances having a higher molecular weight. The finely divided embryonic mammalian organs are extracted with a mixture of water and a water soluble organic solvent which contains nor more than 30 vol.-% of water at an about neutral pH value for stirring and refluxing. The resulting solution is then submitted to a predetermined sequence of further drying steps, heating steps and cooling steps, and finally to a filtration with an ultramembrane filter in order to remove any substances having a molecular weight of about 5000. The extract is then finally concentrated under vacuum to yield a liquid concentrate or a dry residue.
