Abstract: A work surface device has an upper member with a substantially planar top surface. A support is secured to the upper member for supporting the upper member on a support member with the planar top surface in a generally horizontal orientation. The support has a fastener or clamping device at its lower end for releasable engagement with a portion of the support member. A work board of shape and dimensions generally matching the shape and dimensions of the top surface may be placed on the top surface. The work board and upper member have aligned openings in which a receptacle may be seated or through which waste may be discarded into a container beneath the work surface. In one arrangement, the clamping device is secured to the upper rim of a container with the work surface spaced above the open upper end of the container.

Abstract: A waste container cover and work surface device, for attachment to a receptacle, comprising: a table defining an upper side and an underside and a frame, the upper side of the table defining a working surface; and a plurality of support members each having a first end and a second end and being attached in endwise manner at the first end to the frame of the table and projecting away from the underside of the table. The waste container cover and work surface device provides a work surface on which to place items such as a cutting board, sheet pan or container; and a support surface, for holding tools, supplies, and the like, while providing convenient access to the waste container below.

Abstract: A printer is provided which has a special Emulation Manager function as well as a “code sniffer” function, in which print data received is sent to a code sniffer buffer. A code sniffer function automatically determines the type of emulator that should be called to perform the interpretation or rendering of this print job, and if the code sniffer determines that the correct emulator is PostScript, then the code sniffer scans the data for any “special tokens.” If a special token is found, the PostScript emulator determines if the special token string data is part of a PostScript comment. If it is in the correct format, then the PostScript emulator sets the “mode flag” to the “MacBinary” state, and the code sniffer ceases any further filtering of control characters and disables any change of emulator command that may be received during this print job. The rest of the print job is then interpreted as RAW binary data by the PostScript emulator, until a “UEL” string is encountered.
