摘要: Disclosed herein is a method and a printer driver unit for printing variable copies of a plurality of pages in a document. In an embodiment, a user input comprising a number of copies of the plurality of pages to be printed is received from a user. Further, the user input is parsed to determine the plurality of pages to be printed and the number of copies that each of the plurality of pages to be printed. Thereafter, the content of each of the plurality of pages is retrieved from a temporary file or a memory associated with the printer driver unit and printed with the help of a printer device. Accordingly, the present disclosure allows users to print variable copies of plurality of pages on a single print action, and thereby enhances speed of printing and ensures optimal usage of resources.

摘要: An image processing apparatus capable of, even both of reservation printing and pre-printing paper sheet confirmation are set for one print job, preventing a printing process from substantially being halted due to a confliction between these two settings. The image processing apparatus is capable of generating a print job, a time request and a print medium confirmation request. The image processing apparatus performs: a first process, which exclusively generates one of the time request and the print medium confirmation request, generates the print job including the generated one request, and performs a process corresponding to the generated one request prior to printing based on the print job; or a second process, which generates the time request and the print medium confirmation request, generates both of the two request, and exclusively performs one of the two requests prior to printing based on the print job.

摘要: Print operations are monitored and a DLP policy is applied, independently of the print interface technology used by applications that initiate print operations. A DLP component monitors for and detects print drivers being loaded into the print spooler. When a print driver is loaded, the print spooler creates a corresponding driver object, which is intercepted. The instantiated driver object creates multiple device objects to carry out various print functions. The device object print functions of interest are intercepted. Attempts to send text to the printer at a print driver level by intercepted device object functions are monitored, and application level context information is identified, such as the associated 0user. The DLP policy is applied to monitored attempts to send text to the printer at the print driver level, taking into account application level context information and the specific text of the monitored attempt.

摘要: A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a printer driver allowing a computer including a nonvolatile memory to issue a print instruction causing a printing device to execute printing. The printer driver causes the computer to execute: displaying separate reception regions each corresponding to a different printing device and each including one or more configurable items that are related to printing and variable from reception region to reception region; when receiving a configuration with respect to a configurable item included in a reception region, storing the configuration to the nonvolatile memory to be associated with a printing device corresponding to the reception region; and when receiving a designation of a printing device corresponding to a reception region, reading out each configuration associated with the printing device from the nonvolatile memory, and presenting the each configuration so as to be usable in issuing a print instruction.
