    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, driving transistors, an insulating layer, and light emitting elements. The driving transistors are disposed in pixel areas on the substrate and each includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The insulating layer is disposed over the driving transistors to cover the first electrodes and the second electrodes of the driving transistors and has contact holes respectively overlapping with the first electrodes of the driving transistors. The light emitting elements are disposed on the insulating layer and include pixel electrodes respectively overlapping with the first electrodes of the driving transistors. In addition, an insulating pattern is disposed in at least one of the contact holes to prevent a corresponding pixel area from emitting light.

    Abstract: A display device manufacturing method includes annealing a display substrate by irradiating a laser to the display substrate in different energy values, measuring a transmittance of the annealed display substrate, and determining an optimal crystallization value of the display substrate based on the transmittance, wherein the determining of the optimal crystallization value includes calculating an absorbance of the display substrate for each energy value of the laser based on the transmittance, calculating a band gap energy of the annealed display substrate for each energy value of the laser based on the absorbance, and determining an energy value of the laser corresponding to a minimum value of the band gap energy as the optimal crystallization value. Also provided is a display device manufacturing apparatus that may implement the manufacturing method.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a driving controller and a data driver. The display panel includes a low deterioration region and a high deterioration region. The driving controller generates a data signal based on input image data. The data driver converts the data signal to a data voltage and outputs the data voltage to the display panel. The driving controller includes a deterioration compensator which generates the data signal based on a deterioration ratio. The deterioration ratios may be a ratio between a sensing current of the low deterioration region and a sensing current of the high deterioration region.

    Abstract: A method of providing a biomarker on a display device includes displaying an initial guidance image that guides a user to place a finger on a sensing region of the display device. A first photoplethysmography (PPG) signal is generated by performing a PPG sensing operation when the finger is located in the sensing region. At least one tilt guidance image is displayed that requests to tilt the finger in at least one direction. At least one second PPG signal is generated by performing the PPG sensing operation when the finger is tilted in the at least one direction. An optimal PPG signal having a highest signal quality is selected among the first PPG signal and the at least one second PPG signal. The display device then displays a biomarker of the user determined based on the optimal PPG signal.
